Game Thread: Twins @ Brewers, July 28 @ 1:10pm CT

[Gibby]

Tippi Heddren with birds in her hair.  Shudder.

 Suzanne Pleshette please.

[70charger]

Lotta offense in this game. Lotta offense.

[Gibby]

Lotta offense in this game. Lotta offense.

  A rare game reference.

[70charger]

We're just having an 83 miles per hour pitchers duel, and I'm a bit surprised that nobody's hitting anything. We can go back to our regularly scheduled ridiculousness though.

[stocker08]

WOO!  Nice play, Dozier!

[JB_Iowa]

Whew .... didn't think they were going to get that one.

[Hrbowski]

So what did Dozier do?

[Gibby]

WOO!  Nice play, Dozier!

Dozier was engineered to play this game.

And some sterling defense. Esco's play in the corner was pretty good too.

[Gibby]

So what did Dozier do?

A slow roller he fed with his glove. crucial play.

[Gibby]

Alert the media...We have a base runner.

ROSIE!!!!

[Circus Boy]

Over the wall, Ploofie.

But a single's OK by me, too.

[Hrbowski]

We have something cooking.

[stocker08]

I have no idea how that worked.

a. super slow roller up the middle

b. how did Mauer not get thrown out?

[Hrbowski]

Have Joe steal home.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Over the wall, Ploofie.

Dribbler to center, runners at the corners.

Not as sure a thing, but i'll take the lack of an out...

[Circus Boy]

Ah, nuts. Not a good feeling about this inning's possibilities like 30 seconds ago.

[Gibby]

  Plouffy has some wheels. hehehe

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Wheels Plouffe!

First steal.

[Gibby]

The ball boy is wearing wheat.

[Circus Boy]

If Esko Bar gets another HR, well, that would be satisfyin'.

EDIT: Sac fly is good.

Okay. Bases loaded. Okay. I like how this is working so far.

[stocker08]

Alright!!!  Twins take the lead!  Mauer looking like speedy gonzalez out there.

[Craig Arko]

Sac fly will have to do.

[D. Hocking]

Have Joe steal home.

This is going to be the game and SERIES winning moment next October when we take the championship.  It will be somewhat unexpected.

[glunn]

Mauer was lucky not to get injured from that half slide.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

Mauer beats the throw home to complete the sac fly!

1-0 Twins, both other runners advance.

[Gibby]

Cripes! That looked like a play that could have Joe out for 2 years.

[sampleSizeOfOne]

And they pinch hit for Milone.

Makes sense of course, but now other pitchers have to own Mil, besides Milone...
