jerseyjammer Provisional Member Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Hello, I’m headed to Fort Myers next week and hoping to catch a Miracle and a Rookie Ball game. I like to find a prospect or two to key in on. Hoping you guys who follow the minors closely can help me out. 1) Regarding the GCL Rookie Ball team, do we have anyone on the team that ranks as a top prospect? Will any of the guys that were drafted two weeks ago be on the team? (I will see them vs either the Red Sox or Orioles so if by any chance you know of any top guys on those two GCL teams, I’d love to hear it too.) 2) Regarding the Miracle, are you excited about anyone else other than Kohl Stewart? (I will see them play either the White Sox or Cardinals A teams, so if you know of any top prospect on those team,s I’d love to hear it) Thanks for any thoughts!JJ

Myers and frequent the Miracle and backfields on the weekend, the GCL schedule was just posted up and it starts 6/22. The roster hasnt been officially set yet, but most likely Lewin Diaz should start there as well as Amaurys Minier (injuried). By the time the season starts there should be a couple of the kids (most likely HS) they just drafted there as well as some undrafted free agents. There is no better way to watch a game then to go to the backfields and watch the kids in the GCL, you get up close and personal with little other fans there. As for the Miracle, pitchers Stephen Gonsalves and Hu are the ones to watch. Offensively, not much there. Now the Cardinals team, it has a quite of few top prospects.
jerseyjammer Provisional Member Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 This is great. Thank you for the detail and names of a few guys.I just read up on Diaz and Minier and they both sound intriguing. Hopefully they will both be there in rookie ball next week.As for the set-up of the field, are any of the seats for fans covered from the sun?It seems like you follow the minors pretty closely down there. By any chance, would you know of any top prospects on the Red Sox GCL or Orioles GCL?Thanks for the info!
