  1. This is great. Thank you for the detail and names of a few guys. I just read up on Diaz and Minier and they both sound intriguing. Hopefully they will both be there in rookie ball next week. As for the set-up of the field, are any of the seats for fans covered from the sun? It seems like you follow the minors pretty closely down there. By any chance, would you know of any top prospects on the Red Sox GCL or Orioles GCL? Thanks for the info!
  2. Hello, I’m headed to Fort Myers next week and hoping to catch a Miracle and a Rookie Ball game. I like to find a prospect or two to key in on. Hoping you guys who follow the minors closely can help me out. 1) Regarding the GCL Rookie Ball team, do we have anyone on the team that ranks as a top prospect? Will any of the guys that were drafted two weeks ago be on the team? (I will see them vs either the Red Sox or Orioles so if by any chance you know of any top guys on those two GCL teams, I’d love to hear it too.) 2) Regarding the Miracle, are you excited about anyone else other than Kohl Stewart? (I will see them play either the White Sox or Cardinals A teams, so if you know of any top prospect on those team,s I’d love to hear it) Thanks for any thoughts! JJ
  3. Great info Dumb question, if the team is away, is it only the players not traveling at the complex? Or are you referring to them all being there prior to hopping the bus? Thanks!
  4. Hi I just got to fort myers and am excited to hit up camp this week with my family. Few questions 1. On Twins game days (this week) what is going on in the complex in the 9-10AM time frame from a fan perspective? Anything at all? Ie twins in the cages etc 2) have you seen any players sign autographs? When is the best time to attempt an autograph this week? Before a minor league game or after the game, or early AM workouts? 3) is alex Meyer expected to pitch tomorrow at the sox? Any sox prospects in particular that you're excited to see? 4) lastly I just got tickets for the new Britain team welcoming dinner as I live in the area. Have you ever been or heard good things about it? Keep up the great work and Thanks for all your updates
  5. Hi Are the minor league games open to the public tomorrow and Tuesday? And open on Wednesday at sox farm teams? Thanks!
  6. This is great, thanks for all of the info!!
  7. Hi there, I'll be headed down on Sunday. If anyone has answers for the below, it'd be greatly appreciated! - Does anyone know where I can find a roster with uniform numbers online of all players in Fort Myers? Single A to MLB - Around what time do the minor league workouts start in the AM? - On game day, is there much going on in the complex in the mornings? Assuming the minor leaguers are still there on the backfields? Maybe some guys in the cages? Thanks for any info! JJ
  8. Coming off a 2 HR game, I was surprised there was no team reaction to Sano getting the ball thrown at his head at his first at bat. The ball grazed the top of his helmet. That pitcher should have received a warning, but I didn't notice one. Sano just put his head down and ran to first.
  9. Hi Everyone, Over the next month I plan on attending both a game in Fort Myers and New Britain. I think this site had some articles at the start of the season giving a good detailed overview of each team. Does anyone have links to those? Thank you!
  10. Hi there, So I attended today's game at the Red Sox. A few quick notes. - Pleasantly surprised that the game was on the main field at the Red Sox' new Jet Blue Park (mini Fenway). It was awesome. Parked my car at the curb on the entrance to the park, brought in a cooler full of sandwiches and drinks. There was no parking or ticket costs at all. Maybe only 20 fans in the whole park. haha. Anyone thinking of attending, should go. Fun and free day at the park. And there is plenty of seating under the roofs to hide from the sun. Also sat front row on the green monster for a bit under the roof. Fun vantage point to watch the game from. - Kind of bummed that neither Buxton nor Derek Rodriguez played. Joe Benson started center. His arm looked good. I spoke to a twins scout who said Benson will be on the Miracle within a few days. - Scout said dont be concerned about Buxton. He's a great kid who works hard and has all the tools. Just needs to learn a bit. - The Red sox have this guy Shaq Thompson. Ranked as the 7th best FOOTBALL player in the nation last year and will play at Univ of Washington as a safety in the fall. He's there starting centerfielder. Was fun to watch him today. Looks like a man amongst boys physically. Didnt impress at the plate though. Oh, and as 60ft mentioned, I dont think I heard any english being spoken. Too funny! Fun day at the park even though I didn't really know the players. So that's my recap. -
  11. Perfect! Thank you! Aside from Buxton, who are the other top guys on this team? Does anyone know who the top guy is on GCL Sox team?
  12. Thanks for all the info! Another question since they play on a side field. Do they wear numbers on their jerseys? How will I know who I'm watching? Is their anyplace I can print out a numerical roster? Thanks!
  13. Hi, I'm going to be in Fort Myers soon and hope to catch a GCL Twins game and also catch a game at the GCL Red Sox. Has anyone attended a game at either place? My understanding is the games are not in the main stadium, but on a side field. Is that correct? Do fans bring lawn chairs to watch the games? I can't imagine many people going to these games. Hopefully Buxton will be suited up when I go! Thanks for any info!
  14. So I went to Monday's game in Fort Myers. Loved the 10:30 start although I was over run by thousands of 7 year olds as it was Education Day. Busloads of students were there. Sat front row behind homeplate for a bit. The closest I've ever been for a baseball game. Great stuff. Nick Castellanos of the the Tigers also lived up to the hype crushing a triple and finishing 2 for 3. He has the highest batting average (.421) of every level in professional baseball right now. The Lakeland team is loaded with top prospects. Of the Miracle, Michael Gonzales had a good day with 3 hits. Very fun day at the ballpark. Thanks for all of the info.
  15. Great, thanks for the response! About an hour before first pitch for autographs? same for opposing teams?
  16. Hi, Thanks for the recap. I've been to Twins ST but never to a Miracle game. I will be attending one during the May 5th weekend for the first time with my family. Any tips or advice on attending the game. Best sections to sit in, etc? Do players usually sign autographs or talk to fans before games? Whats the average attendance for the Miracle games? couple hundred? Thanks for any info!
