mikecgrimes Verified Member Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Just did the math as of today with 116 games remaining we could add a $9.3 million dollar annual salary for the 6.66 million we saved because of Santana's suspension. Given the success and the fact we were willing to add Morales for a comparable # last year I would think Terry Ryan is planning on spending every cent of that. If we take it close to the trade deadline your looking at adding a player or players at nearly double that salary, and thats if the other team pays nothing. Given the prospect depth the already budgeted money available and the history of the Pohlads letting Terry Ryan spend a little extra at the trade deadline the sky's the limit at the trade deadline. Almost no matter how much we fall back to earth in the next 2 months August and September should be fun.
