Puckett34 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 You know those good feelings we've been having lately? Nolasco is really good at crushing those. The reverse stopper. Answer with 3 runs? Better give at least one back
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Welp - time to get those runs back, again!
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 Acquire Brad Hand, I am ready to start the Kickstarter.
70charger Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Oooooooh! Is that how center fielders are supposed to play!?
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 ok - how about a quick inning for Nolasco?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 OF defense. .....doesn't matter? Their tolerance for this seems odd, given their treatment of Pinto. Someday maybe it will change.
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Okay … I'm off to work … enjoy (?) the rest of the game …
70charger Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 So they just showed a stat called "route efficiency percentage" on the screen for Burns's catch. Is this a thing? Do they track these?

Otto von Ballpark Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Today's game is the mlb.com free game of the day.Late to the thread, but if others are in the Twins blackout region, I recommend the "Hola" browser extension. Clicked it, clicked the British flag to say I am in that region, and then loaded up the free game of the day, no problem. Hola (I used the Firefox extension):http://hola.org Today's game:http://mlb.mlb.com/shared/flash/mediaplayer/v4.5/R7/MP4.jsp?calendar_event_id=14-414076-2015-05-07&content_id=&media_id=&view_key=&media_type=video&source=MLB&sponsor=MLB&clickOrigin=Media+Grid&affiliateId=Media+Grid&team=mlb
Brock Beauchamp Site Manager Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 I know Escobar should have caught that ball but let's blame the real culprit here: Ricky Nolasco. Half the balls coming off the bat look like they were fired from a cannon.

James Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Finally get some time to listen to the game. Stupid work, always getting in the way of baseball.

Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Whew.... dodged a bullet that inning.
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Part of the new "Statcast" data this year. And, I think, this was the same technology they used to show how much ground Jarrod Dyson and Lorenzo Cain covered in the OF during the playoffs last season.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 Finally get some time to listen to the game. Stupid work, always getting in the way of baseball. I hear ya. I'm really torn. I haven't worked in 5 years. I'm really getting the itch to open a new place. The time is right with the new stadium in St Paul.
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Author Posted May 7, 2015 OF defense. .....doesn't matter? Their tolerance for this seems odd, given their treatment of Pinto. Someday maybe it will change.Um, they really don't have better options, do they? Hicks? I don't think that his defense make up for his bat, but I would rather see Eric Fryer than Pinto, he is hitting better and his defense is better. Probably their best option is trying to get guys like Schafer, Robinson, Presley, Fuld etc. who hit for a while and play great defense and then move on to the next.
James Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 The sad thing is, I had tickets for today's game. I could have been sitting in the rain, drinking beer and watching baseball...
Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted May 7, 2015 Posted May 7, 2015 great to see Kennys draw a walk instead of chasing that off-speed stuff!
