Twins Option Ryan Pressly

The Twins announced this morning that they have optioned RH RP Ryan Pressly to Rochester. The moves means they have 42 players in camp.

 

It's interesting. With Michael Tonkin and Ryan Pressly optioned in the last 24 hours, who has the inside edge on the final bullpen spot? 

 

Rule 5 pick JR Graham, or Blaine Boyer, a non-roster pitcher with an opt-out in his contract on 3/31?

I think the Twins will stick with Graham.  He was a top prospect and is coming back from injury.  If he's throwing mid-90s, they'll see what they have.

That seems reasonable to me. It'd be hard to say Pressly or Tonkin are a step-level improvement over Graham if he's healthy. Might as well see if he has enough to offer to be worth keeping longer (or permanently).
