Chaska's Brad Hand throwing more strikes for Marlins

LHP Brad Hand was the 2nd round pick of the Marlins in 2008 out of Chaska High School.

He made 12 starts for a 2011 Marlins team that needed anyone to pitch, and as a 21 year old, he went 1-8. He made one appearance for them in 2012. He threw 20+ innings in 2013. This year, he's been with the big league roster most of the year, although he missed some time with injury.

He has improved his control of late, but he will be out of options next year (the negative of getting him up to the big leagues so fast)... Definitely a guy the Twins liked before the 2008 draft.

Here is a nice story on him from the Christina De Nicola of Fox Sports Florida.
