The Red Wings find themselves 1.5 games out of the International League Wild card race with 6 games to play. Their magic number to be eliminated is 5.

 

They have 2 games against North Division leader Syracuse before two games against each of the two teams ahead of them in the Wild Card standings, Buffalo and Pawtucket. Unfortunately for the Red Wings, 4 of the 6 games will be on the road where the team is 30-38 on the season, compared to 44-26 at home.

 

With an off-day Tuesday the Red Wings begin six games in six days on Wednesday to push themselves into the playoffs.
