Article: Twins Daily will be down Saturday morning, 7/26

Tomorrow morning, Twins Daily is going under the knife and receiving the largest update in its history. There will be new features, old features, shiny features, and half-baked features (despite our rigorous attempts to QA the new site for the past several weeks).If you pop online tomorrow morning and cannot reach the site, have no fear. It will be back online sometime early in the afternoon in time for tomorrow's game.

 

This has been a monumental task for all involved and I think some of you will be amazed at some of the cool new features we're adding to the forums, blogs, and articles sections of the site, along with several all-new site sections we've never had in the past.

 

Under typical situations, we wouldn't take the site down for an upgrade but the scope of this change is so immense that we need to shut down the site to keep a static image of the database while we migrate everything to an all-new platform, one that allows us to scale the site more easily in the future.

 

So check back around 1pm and if all goes well, you'll see an entirely new site!
