According to the PerthNow.com, Luke Hughes, who injured his shoulder last weekend during the Australian League playoffs, has been shutdown by the Minnesota Twins. The move is likely precautionary as most tests showed no significant damage to his shoulder. Hughes, 27, is out of options and will be battling for a utility role with the team this spring.

yeah, the injury doesn't sound too serious. You knind of feel bad for Hughes that he can't play in the championship series, but especially for his teammates.
