This team is so polarizing, and it hurts my body.

I think that I speak for most Twin's fans, if I may, when I say that expectations for this team were not very high coming into 2014. Ever since the first week of the season, this team has been up and down to almost an extreme. As I sit and write this, while watching the Twins/Rangers opener, Minnesota sits at a 36-41 record, which would sound about right back in April. The way they have gotten there, however, is nothing short of aggravating.

For the first time in a while, I was optimistic about this year's team. Even many of the things I was looking forward to have been polarizing. I loved the Nolasco signing clearly more than I should have; Pelfrey, very predictably I may add, fell over dead right out of the gate; Most of the guys in the bullpen have been up or down; Mauer is having the worst year of his career (starting to get things going lately though); Arcia has been either the second coming of Christ or a pumpkin; and both Hicks and Florimon seem they will never improve off of terrible '13s. (and if I don't mention Buxton and Sano, that means it isn't real, Right?)

Yet, for some reason, I still love watching this team.

The signings of Suzuki and Hughes seem too good to come from the Twins; Gibson has had an overall good season; Plouffe was finally hitting well before his injury; Going out and being proactive by signing Morales; Dozier becoming my favorite player in baseball (#BullDozier); and all of the guys like Vargas, May, Berrios, Meyer, and now Nick Gordon having great years in the minors, as well as seeing the beginning of the 'Calvary' coming up with Santana and now Polanco, even though with Polanco it seems it will be brief.

Everything I love is countered by things I hate. I can't take it any more. My psychiatrist bill is through the roof! Everything I know is a lie! Remember, it was only 2 weeks ago that the Twins were a series win away in a slumping Detroit from us taking about a potential first place Minnesota baseball team.

It hurts to watch, and yet I can't look away.
