I looked outside, and there was fire and ice falling from the sky, locusts were everywhere, and cats and dogs wee doing unspeakable things. I figured it was the end times, then I saw the lineup, and it all made sense.

At least Dozier's spine absorbed some of the energy of the pickoff throw before it hit his helmet.

And no, after Morneau and Mauer's concussions, that wasn't meant to be funny.

For those of you not listening to Bremer, he just pointed out that the Twins have more home runs this year than Texas and Boston, as well as a few other teams. I'm typing this waiting for my wife to charge the paddles and try to bring me back.

The Twins should plunk Overbay for not catching that pickoff attempt. That was ridiculous.

Somebody find Dozier some Ty Cobb spikes for his next slide...

Love Dozey's baserunning, but he's lucky the OF didn't throw behind him. Is Ullger subbing for Vavra tonight?

That's some bat speed, turning on a good fastball that high...

Arcia starting to make up for the disappointment of knowing we won't see Sano for a while longer.

Plouffe just misses one. They've got to get a graphic of a pirate with a mohawk so everyone can yell ARRRRRRRRRcia. That will be at least as a good as Plooooooooffffff

My research shows me that there aren't very many left-handed outfielders in baseball.

That's because they can make more money as soft-tossing relievers.

Carl Crawford?

The article I just read (from March of last year) said that only three current MLB outfielders, at that time, threw left handed: Cowgill, Cody Ross, and Ryan Ludwick

Funny how that works. Unlike non-1b infielders, outfielders can throw left-handed without detriment.

My guess is that since most natural lefty infielders are ambidextrous enough to throw righty, many are also able to switch hit. And baseball wisdom has traditionally valued switch-hitting middle infielders even more than other positions.

And obviously that article was incorrect...

What about Oquendo Arcia?

That is bats right, throws left.
