Does anybody need competition more than Trevor Plouffe? Anybody else struggling like he is, would not be playing. I know this wont happen, but I would love to see the Twins bring up D Romero from New Britain and let Plouffe watch a lot of baseball. Plouffe seems very arrogant to me, like it doesnt matter, he has the thumb injury to blame it on...just wait until he recovers....and wait...and wait.... Sit him please, he needs a major attitude adjustment!
Well here it is, September, the stretch run. For me tied for the second best time of year with opening week and trails only October. This is the time of year when series become critical. A couple months ago, a bunch of extremely talented baseball writers came together to write a book about players who are not Hall of Fame worthy, but had careers worth remembering. The book is called The Hall of Very Good The Hall of Nearly Great. It is an eBook, it highlights about 40 players and it is amazing. It was a Kickstarter deal, and I can say I proudly contributed.
