I think if you focused on beating the shift for the first three innings you could gain an advantage. If you’re successful at it the shift would have to be severely adjusted. Players need to know how to bunt though, that would be key. Maybe they could get some tips from NL pitchers

I would love to see a team learn to play “beat the shift” starting from spring training. Tom Kelly would have been great at such a strategy

Ironically small ball is much more exciting than home runs/strikeouts.

Any team could virtually eliminate the shift by teaching all their players to bunt. How many free base hits will a team allow before it protects the whole infield instead of just one side.

MLB makes the rule, all those affected adjust

You could easily knock off 10 minutes or more by shortening the 2 minutes between half innings. Pitchers don’t need 8 warmups and it’s not unreasonable for players to run to their positions. 1 minute between half innings would cut out 17 minutes

Billy Beane traveled to Las Vegas to see his AAA teams recently built ballpark. He said the facilities for the AAA players are better than the A’s. That would be comparable to Levine going to the Saints facility and saying the players here are better than the Twins
