    And I agree with that. Polanco can PLAY SS, but he can't BE THE SS if he is defensively inadequate at SS. If he (or Dozier) plays 2B, SS and 3B; they can all get a lot of playing time.

    None of those examples involve someone who is an inadequate SS (or catcher) playing those DEFENSE-FIRST positions to add another bat to the lineup. Other positions, OK, but you don't sacrifice defense at SS or catcher.

    Everyone on the Twins 40-man is not good enough to trade for Fernando Abad, so that logic is difficult to follow. Miguel Sano is also on the 40-man. Is he "taking a roster spot from someone who is, at the least,equally as good"?

    I don't know that living within 15 miles of the stadium makes anything less or more true. It doesn't, but it exposes me to more Angels fans/media and less Dodgers fans/ media. My friends are predominantly Angel fans (poor bleepers!) and I hear their complaints. It just sounds like Santiago is not as hated as Ricky Fiasco is on TD and STRIB blogs.

    Wheeler is no long term answer, but maybe deserves his four weeks of fame in an MLB tryout. He is 25, and it's probably now or never. Duffey needs to work on his mechanics during a month of bullpens away from MLB pressure. Mejia is possibly the long term answer. Right now there are no MLB-ready starters on the 40-man-roster. That is why Wheeler (who has the best 2016 AAA-AA numbers) needs to replace Pat Dean (horrible numbers) on the 40-man. In September, the problem will go away.

    IMHO... Tyler Duffey NEEDS to be sent to Rochester until September 1 call-up. Pat Dean NEEDS to be sent OUTRIGHT (removed from 40-man) to Rochester.     I live about 15 miles from Angel Stadium and coach HS baseball with a TON of Angel fans in my ear. Santiago is 100 million times more popular with Angel fans than Ricky Fiasco is with Twins fans. Hell, Donald Trump is more popular with illegal immigrants than Ricky Fiasco is with Twins fans

    We got Alex Meyer in the Span trade who enabled us to off-load Ricky Fiasco. That was worth more than Denard Span will ever be worth again. God Bless Span, God Bless Meyer, God Bless that trade and God Speed Ricky Fiasco.

    Thanks for that info. I suspected that. Milone has been good for 3-4 innings, so the bullpen may work for him. If Duffey stinks again, he'll get a four-week-vacation in upstate NY.

    Ryan COULD HAVE, but wouldn't have pulled it off because that would have meant conceding his own failures on the Nolasco signing and the Meyer-Span trade. That is why replacing TR was a MUST!!!
