  1. It reminds me when 1%er politicians tell us that $1,000 is crumbs and that it makes no difference to us if we get it or not. Meanwhile, they have $1K dinners and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on in flight alcohol on tax payer dimes
  2. That’s not how signing bonuses work. It’s more incentive to leave other options work. Most stock or incentive bonuses vests in 3-5 years. I have never heard of a 11 year vesting schedule. Kohl should keep the money
  3. He should at least give it half season to see if he can get to the majors. Real close, so would hate to see him quit. If he doesn’t show up, he can join the football team for summer workouts
  4. If we trade Royce Lewis for a #3 guy like archer than what I don’t think I can follow this team anymore. Simply put, it’s not going to happen
  5. I don’t really like Archer but I’d do a package like: Nick Gordon Lamonte Wade Aaron Slegers Travis blackenhorn
  6. Why is Archer's cost so high? I get that he strikes out a lot of guys but look at that ERA. Seems like a 3 or 4 at best.
  7. Yeah for sure. A ton of young prospects too. The Cedar Rapids team could be stacked with prospects early in the season. Few guys I think could end up there: 1) Baddoo 2) Enlow 3) Lewis (perhaps, to start the year at least) 4) Javiar 5) Kiriloff 6) Graterol 7) Miranda 8) Bechtold 9) Jovani Moran 10) Leach (perhaps, late in year)
  8. Former twin, Vielma got DFA after this trade for the 4th time in his young career
  9. Had to do a double take. Thought I posted this and didn’t remember it
  10. Have a stronger bullpen has to be attractive for Darvish. I know I would love it if I had Buxton behind me and these guys coming in if I got in trouble. Is it true that insurance could cover portion of Hughes? Could we trade him to a team along with international money to take the contract off our hands?
  11. If those are the rules my list would go as follows. 1. Royce Lewis 2. Wander Javier 3. Blayne Enlow 4. Stephen Gonsalves 5. Brent Rooker 6. Nick Gordon 7. Fernando Romero 8. Brusador Graterol 9. Alex Kiriloff 10. Lewis Thorpe
  12. Here’s the whitepaper if you want to see more detailed information on the concept or team: https://gifto.io/GIFTO_Whitepaper_V2.0_20171204.pdf
  13. I recall moderators we’re asking feedback on how to stimulate more content providers and one of the challenges was paying them (currently based on page views). Tried finding the thread but to no avail so started a new one I have an innovative idea. How about allow users to send virtual stickers (or gifts) to be able to allow readers to donate in a fun way. I know of a product that offers just that. It’s in its alpha stages right now but in the next few months will roll out to a base for 30M users. I’m in a small group chat that includes the CEO and staff and I could get you in touch to see if it’s a possibility for blogging platforms like this. I wonder if they would be able to display the gifts on the blog and tailor to be twins themed? Just an idea... Here’s a video kind of explaining the concept: https://youtu.be/ZzHy0r9NPcU
  14. By some of the responses, I'm not sure why he even took the time. Seemed like half were just cheeky non-responses to legitimate questions that I would have liked to hear his thoughts on.
  15. Agree that there’s a ton to watch this year. Some will take a step back but others could really break out and it will be a lot of fun to see
  16. The comparisons to the President in this thread is a joke. It’s like people don’t think of the actual situation: 1) I’ve flown first class. It’s not like it’s some groping section. It would have been a pretty big deal on a flight. Especially if it was someone famous. Did he buy everyone else off? 2) what are the chances that the person he sat next to and harassed just so happened to work for the Clinton foundation, is best friends with Hillary Clinton, and decides to come out right before a presidential election against Hillary Clinton? 3). This point is more of an honest question... but it’s kind of funny imaging Donald Trump flying commercial. Did companies not charter private jets back then?
  17. Wasn't my apartment complex. It was an ex's that I recently had rekindled things with. Some guy had seen me leave her place a couple times... Thought it was peculiar that he was staring at me driving by one time I was leaving. Went down there and he chased me down shooting. Went down there the next day, her brother lives a few apartments down and tried denying it... A few of her best friends reached out to me asking if what they heard was true, so I know they knew. It was around 8 pm on a Saturday... People were out. He ended up seeing me in a parking lot a couple weeks later and again pulled out a gun (I took off) and later returned to see if businesses had cameras. It got a little ugly after that for a bit. Had a little PTSD from the initial situation (not sure how I got out alive). A year later (this past summer) a different ex of hers ended up shot and murdered. I actually talked to someone who knew a lot of what was going on and she told me what the friends said in the paper was a lie and she knew a lot more and told me more. Of course no one would talk even if someone they knew and were friends with was killed. I didn't even know this guy and I at least called silent witness and told them what I had heard. A lot of times I consider myself lucky that wasn't me.
  18. I mean I went back down there the next day to talk to some folks, who denied it, even though their friends said they heard what happened. The 10 minute thing and Twins daily access in her story didn’t really add up. I really don’t think she realized how big this would get. It needs to be taken seriously and investigated
  19. For those that say someone would come to her rescue if that was the case. I probably would have believed you a couple years ago but people generally stick to themselves. I was shot at in an apartment complex with people around and no one would speak up. It was an eye opening experience to say the least
  20. In most cases I agree. Accusations have to be taken seriously but need to be investigated. The Duke lacrosse team almost had their lives destroyed on what turned out to be false allegations. With that said, I tend to believe her. I don’t believe for a second that the incident lasted 10 minutes (perhaps it seemed that way) but otherwise her story does seem credible
  21. Trevor Plouffe has tweeted her. Really classy on his end. Her story seems to have legs and should be investigated.
  22. Was she a photographer for twins daily? Don’t remember seeing her on here
  23. Yep. I think they just saw too much risk with the pitchers for the #1 overall pick. I’m just glad we didn’t get the kid out of Louisville. Between him, Greene, wright and the NC kid, one of the pitchers could turn out to be a stud. Hard to say who though. Hopefully Enlow and Leach erase some of that pain though
  24. Individually they’re fine. We have too many of these fringe signings. Rodney makes the least amount of sense. Just my opinion So far the front office does way too much hype and then ends up doing nothing. See it in trade department and free agents. So far they have been bad in this department and the rule V draft. They did do an alright job in the rule iV draft though. I give them a B-
  25. If you take them off the 40 man roster they have to go through waivers
