  1. I checked the 2015 transactions to see that players started being transferred from MLB Camp to Minor League Camp on March 15 last year. I assume that means the same process is soon to begin for this season. Is there any reason that process would be moved up or back this season?
  2. John Hicks out-performing JR Murphy?
  3. Pitching Matchup for Tuesday's SS game against the Cardinals. Who do you want to bet on based on 2015 stats? Michael Wacha Cardinals 17-7 3.38 30games 30GS 181.1IP 153K 1.21WHIP Ricky Nolasco Twins #@$%^&@#$%^&@#%$^&@#$%^&*&^%$$##@*&^%$#@@#$%^&&^&
  4. It's no more a magic trick than hitting all your drives straight down the middle of the fairway. It's not a trick, but golf pros can't teach everyone to do it.
  5. COROLLARY -And take any 89 OR 99 mph fastball, make it move and throw it at the batter's knuckles and its harder to hit. ie.: Mark Buerhle, Chris Young, Dan Haren, Randy Jones, Jared Weaver, Tim Lincecum, Jason Vargas, Tommy Milone and Jamie Moyer all who average(d) UNDER 89-mph with their fast ball.
  6. MPH does not compensate for lack of movement or poor location on a fastball. I am convinced that NO STRAIGHT FASTBALL, REGARDLESS OF VELOCITY, could have struck me out when I played. However, MOVEMENT and LOCATION on a fastball changes EVERYTHING. That is why most good hitters, who feast on fastballs, end up bagging groceries at the Supermarket, instead of becoming millionaires in MLB.
  7. Forty-one pitchers in the Brewers MLB ST camp. Twenty-six of them have pitched in ST games, but not yet for Zach Jones. Maybe he'll be back by April.
  8. Interesting take from MLTR: •The trade sending John Ryan Murphy to the Twins in exchange for outfielder Aaron Hicks was “the best pure baseball deal of the offseason,” in the opinion of one official who spoke with Cafardo. That official, Cafardo notes, was not involved in the swap in any way. Hicks, a defensive specialist, ended the 2015 campaign with a .256/.323/.398 batting line and swiped 13 bags on the year, making him a little more appealing. The Twins, meanwhile, got themselves an upgrade behind the plate in the wake of Kurt Suzuki’s struggles
  9. If the starting rotation stays on schedule until Opening Day: 1) Santana 2) Gibson 3) Hughes 4) Duffey 5) Milone
  10. Thanks, now I don't have to watch. Did you post the box score in advance?

  12. Using the Area Rule, are we allowed to speak Canadian? For example: "There's a moose in the hoose!..Git him oot!..Git him oot!"
  13. Winnah, winnah, HOT DISH and a BOTTLE-a-POP for dinner!
