    Yep. Stop getting down 0-2 in the count in your first 60 seconds at bat. Stop striking out and flying out and start hitting ground balls and learn how to bunt. If I remember correctly, Carlos Gomez set a team record for bunt singles in a season. At least he figured out how to use his speed to get on base by hitting the ball on the ground. Can't the coaches figure out how to help Byron accomplish this? (or is he just stubborn or sadly, just that bad of a hitter?)

    I was fortunate enough to have friends that got on the phone and dialed and dialed and dialed and waited to get in, to buy tickets (no internet sales back then). I was at game 1 of the 87 ALCS and also game 7 of the World Series. After we won the World Series, I remember running around downtown Mpls high-fiving strangers and people hanging out of cars. My buddy and I had to drive back to Rochester and work the next day too! I also was lucky enough to have a friend take me to game 7 of the '91 World Series. I always remind my two boys that their "old man" was at both World Series game 7s. It's also easy for me to remember the years they were born (87 & 91)! So many memories!

    Provided we keep Dozier, will he be (or does he have the ability to be) our team leader in 2017? We need a Tori Hunter, Kirby Puckett, Kent Hrbek type in the club house. Is Dozier a leader, does he want to be a leader? Lord knows it ain't Mauer. Thoughts on this anyone?

    Saw on the post-game show that with Vargas' 10th homer last night, the Twins set a team record. 10 players with at least 10 or more homers. (a silver lining on this gloomy season)
