1. Thanks Hadn't seen that, changed the sheet to higher number ($4.55M) until final number is in
2. Forbes info on the "2017 Forbes Info" tab in my Payroll Tool Also, apparently went crazy with ratios and attendance/payroll trends on another tab
3. Here's Darvish at 6 years/$160M (MLBTR projection) added in
4. Has there been verification on Park's remaining salary obligation? Did he forfeit the remaining or are the Twins still on the hook?? Not finding anything here's where I see the Payroll sitting after avoiding arbitration Feel free to Make a Copy my Twins Payroll Tool and plug in your own numbers
5. I'm with you on this Mike...send them Castro (along with whatever it takes to make it a cost neutral deal for Marlins $8M-Realmuto Arb figure) or Garver along with 2nd tier pitching prospect (not Gonsalves/Romero) and their Middle Infielder of choice if needed Realmuto is what Castro was supposed to be defensively with a .290 average Free Agent Starter has to be purchased and if the Pirates strikeout with Yankees nab Cole in February when all of this falls into place and I'll see 38,000 of my close personal friends at Target Field all summer long
6. Delete the Cishek dreams...https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/12/cubs-to-sign-steve-cishek.html If this continues, Falvine better look into Belize (the city not the pitcher) as a safe haven or sanctuary from the TD backlash
7. Kintzler reunion looks to be dead...https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/12/nationals-to-re-sign-brandon-kintzler.html
8. Domo Arigato...too soon?
9. Call me overly optimistic but I certainly hope that the big whiteboard of goals has more on it than: 1) Play for 2019...make decisions that don't mess up the big chance we'll have in '19 After last season's improvement, only thing I'd think they'd be saying is how do we get to 92 wins I agree with Jim, there are all sorts of teams that will be in play for the Wild Card/Playoff Spots...there are only 5 spots available so...Houston, NYY, Cleveland, Boston, LAA, Minnesota plus whoever over-achieves makes for no cake walk to the WC Gotta keep pushing forward! Lavelle tweets Twins have arrived...hope they didn't start with "What'd we miss?"
10. One name I'd like to hear mentioned outta 1 Twins Way - Francisco Ortiz Could lead to...
Name Raimfer Salinas Antonio Cabello Wildred Patino Position OF C OF MLB Pipeline #6 #8 #25
Just happens to train all three
11. Advanced Probability and Aggregate Theory...a plethora of posters who strive belong to the Lexicomane Society...more legal jargon than I ever hoped to hear and now I have to learn French just to follow along??? Thanks TD for helping me towards a Masters Degree...in what I'm not sure
12. Ok so I may be suffering Ohtani (the act of over-exaggerating a point/stance/opinion on something that one really doesn't have factual information to back it up) I stand corrected on KLaw...but honestly who wasn't high on Buxton
13. Keith Law must have been passed over for a job with the Twins as I can't recall him ever liking a move they've made or a prospect coming up through the system
14. After Dee Gordon to Mariners deal it's time to fire up the Falvine HotLine Hello Jon Daniels....$1.2Mil for Yohander Mendez Line 2...Billy Eppler...Jahmai Jones or Jo Adell (the rest of your guys are...um...not worth the Monopoly Money)
15. From last summer's trip through the Texas League (one week before Hurricane Harvey) a few more worth the $1.2Mil Monopoly marker Padres OF Franchy Cordero Rangers LHP Yohander Mendez ChangeUp reminiscent of the other Johan
16. Keeping with the HomeTown prospects purchased with remaining International Money Rights $1Mil to A's for Logan Shore And just cause we might as well go crazy maybe... $1Mil to A's for AJ Puk or $1.2Mil to Padres to put them over the top in exchange for Mackenzie Gore
17. Guys working on Prospect Handbook must be doing some quick re-writes
18. Falvine sends this email to M's Our Final $1Million for Evan White or Hometowner Sam Carlson Email to Angels...upon further review only intriguing name left in their system is LHP Duensing (for name only)
19. This is the ultimate in Monopoly Money wheeling and dealing Trading the Opportunity to spend money (not the money itself) for M's #10 prospect at a position of need and Angel's #5 guy seems like a fair return for nothing
20. The lack of a quote showing who cited Babe Ruth as a 2-way player comparison for Ohtani leads me to assume my post may have inspired this one The BR2 reference was a homage to the stories that have been written/tweeted/broadcast about Ohtani being the Babe Ruth (a player who showed promise as both a hitter and pitcher as a young man) of Japan I attempted to clarify this with the egregious closing comment of Ohtani already being declared a HOF player at 23-years old As my aging father has taught me, much to my chagrin...one should never underestimate the 'maybe' of a number 1 and when in doubt always believe in the likelihood of a number 2!
21. Here's what the crusty old-school baseball people running the SF Giants are planning should they sign Ohtani They've done a fantastic job of hiding this from every Tweeting-head in the media and even the most notable agent WEST of Scott Boras, Nez Balelo Once they have signed BR2 (Babe Ruth 2) they will immediately trade him to the Marlins for Giancarlo Stanton Showing the 23-year old Hall of Famer that no one is bigger than the institution of Major League Baseball
22. Nice take on Hughes Nick...but I need more than this to shake the Ohtani news
