  1. Twins win 75 games -Mauer has a good season, .330, 10-15 HR's -Morneau is sorta healthy and sorta productive, but not the same player -Capps is average, saves some games, blows a few -Liriano has a good start to the season and is traded at the deadline -Twins Defense is improved from last year, but still poor -Starting pitching is way below average, and the bullpen is about the same.
  2. Bahhahahhhahhhhhaa Good luck with that one....
  3. Sadly, I think this is an indication of just how bad this team really is on paper. The good news, is that the games aren't played on paper.
  4. Do you base this potential off the 3 weeks he spent with the Twins in April? Or the 3-4 unimpressive years in the minor leagues? There is very little to suggest he is going to be anything other than ordinary as a Major Leaguer.
  5. 1 swinging strike in 83 pitches......that's 1 more than Duensing when he faces the Yankees.
  6. Ummmmm.....Morneau ISN'T healthy and/or productive. That's the whole point. Until those things are established(which is no sure thing), he has pretty much zero trade value.
  7. An All-star? That's just a little bit of a stretch, wouldn't you say? I would like the Twins to make a forward-thinking trade.... for once. I have my doubts though..
  8. Are you on the Twins payroll??
  9. Are you aware of how bad Rochester's record has been the last 2 seasons? Why would they care? They don't owe the Twins any favors, you know....
  10. Seth--it seems you are going way out of your way to find a positive spin on the current state of the Twins minor league system. Why is it so hard to accept that the Twins have below average talent in the upper levels of their minor league system? You don't have to be a genius to figure that out. It's pretty obvious. Sure, a few will make it to the Bigs and make a contribution. Although, most will be utility, part timers, bullpen guys, or below average starters. This team looks like it's heading for steady decline in the next few years, and the current lack of impact type prospects is the main reason for that. I'm not a fan of the current rotation, but just think how bad it will be in the next year or two. Absolutely no impact starters anywhere on the horizon.....
