  1. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me tens, weeeee let's go twins weeeee!
  2. I got at least one person to refresh MLBTR. That's a minute well spent.
  3. Some people are into that sort of thing. Not that I know anyone like that...
  4. Why you gotta go bust up my crayons like that. I'm brilliant and produce quality work.
  5. My source* indicates that we will be sending Dozier and eSan** to the Dodgers for DeLeon, Bollinger, Alvarez, and Lux. * I do not have a source ** and Duensing. obv
  6. 32 pages, and 1,786 refreshes later. I'm angry that nothing has happened. Not angry at Dave. Not angry at mods. Not even angry at Dubya. Just angry that I let myself get sucked in and waste as much time as I have reading this thread with hopeful anticipation. Since we're not going to win many games, it would be nice to feel like we won a trade.
  7. So in reading this article, they linked to the best hitters in the game since the ASG. Kepler 8th, Dozier 10th, Mauer 17th. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2016&month=31&season1=2016&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=17,d
  8. Yeah, there's a reason he's got "superstar" projections. Cliche 5 tool yada yada. Kid should contribute all over the diamond. If his hit tool can catch up, this could be the year he ascends to stardom.
  9. 1) when I was maybe 8 or 9, my uncle lived across the hall in an apartment from Kent Hrbeks sister. Fast forward a couple of years and that same uncle lived in a home. Married. Kid on the way. Dog. All american family. That dog had puppies. Carrie Hrbek got wind. Happened to know a Mr Kirby Puckett who was looking for a dog. So there I sat, my boyhood idle standing in front of me wearing normal clothes with his wife Tanya. I could hardly look at him. Was super friendly and nice. Got a few things signed, topps rookie card I still have. Turns out Tanya was allergic. Told my uncle to keep the money. Brought the dog back. With a huge bucket of toys. Cool experience. dont really collect memorablia anymore so nothing jumps out at me. A Honus Wagner in the attic, maybe?
  10. I'll add my resounding Boooooo to the mix. Not because I think TR is a donk, the twins have no plan, or that zack jones is gone. But because I want to see my favorite team improve. Having no idea what TR was looking at, what deals were offered, what prospective trade partners (teehee prospective) may have wanted or offered, I have little to add from a baseball standpoint. I just know we were luckier than we were good last year, and I want us to be lucky AND good next. So my disappointment lies mostly in the fear of the unknown. Then again, we could be the 2014-2015 Padres.
  11. My concern is, he'll be the one that "actually work[ed] out". I know I'm catering to your alter-ego, MWM, with my pessimism, so I apologize in advance to everyone else.
  12. Umm, TD has been a daily haunt of mine for the last couple of years. Think I linked to it from MLBTR many years ago, and been hooked ever since. Not sure why I didn't create a user. Always been a big stat nerd (when I was 5 I'd go to a ball game and tell everybody who would listen, some who wouldn't, just about every stat you could find on Kirby's baseball cards. By the time I was 10 I had read "150 Years of Baseball" cover to cover about 5 times). Always been interested in our farm system, and projecting our future. So obviously if I like advanced stats & insightful articles on our farm system, the Star Tribune was the way to go.
  13. Side benefit to signing span is even if he is out first 6 weeks it pretty much guarantees one or both of Kepler and Buxton break camp with the team. Depending on what else happens with the OF, one of those guys could play every day and hopefully earn a spot for good.
