1. There is not much violence. There is also not much of a plot. It looks great and the performances are great. And I love Hollywood and mood that was created. However, I spent a lot of the movie wondering what the point of this scene was. It's mostly just a bunch of scenes put together without much of a story. That said, I feel like I want to see it again...
2. We are moving to Rosemount next month. I switched to YouTubeTV a year ago and cut the cord. Great decision. Does anyone have an internet recommendation? It looks like my options are Frontier, Spectrum, and Gigabit MN. I haven't had to think about this for a long time. Gigabit looks like fiber, but I don't know anything about that. Any help would be appreciated.
3. You still haven't names any of these writers or given an example...
4. Well, if you read my post, you'd know that I said they should definitely win more than a couple in the next 5 games. At this rate, maybe they could even beat Wisconsin. That would be something. Maybe let the season play out.
5. Seriously. Who in the local media is a Fleck booster? This take is so old and not even based on anything real. The Gopher football team is probably the most maligned outfit in town. 50 years will do that to you. But today was a really good effort. Now they need to win multiple in these next 5 and show they are getting better.
6. I watch it every week and enjoy it overall, but sometimes I think it is because I am supposed to... I do think Ted Danson is amazing, however. He alone makes it worth watching. Not even close to Parks and Rec, though.
7. nt 1.) Where are you from? SW MN until college, now in Savage 2.) Age Range? 42 3.) What brought you to Twins Daily? Used to read BYTO 4.) Highest level of baseball/softball played? Church league softball 5.) Favorite Twins Player? SHANE MACK Favorite under appreciated Twin? Mack again, but also Gagne and Brian Harper Favorite current Twin? I thought it was Buxton last year, but this year stinks, so it's Rosario and Berrios. 6.) Favorite non-Twins Daily site/authors? Gopher Hole 7.) Favorite Twitter follows? Not on Twitter 8.) Other interests outside of baseball? Golf, movies, music 9.) Favorite part of Twins Daily? Overall intelligent and respectful posters
8. Jerry Kill retired. The U didn't fire him or force him out. Considering how quickly he went back to coaching, you could actually say he quit on us. He was a decent coach. That's it.
9. Finished Master of None last night. It just get better as the season went on. I loved it.
10. I'm only through the New York episode, but I agree. Those two and the first episode were my favorites. So unique.
11. Thank you. I can't figure out how to embed...
12. It's really ****ing hard to upstage Bowie but Cobain managed to it. I prefer this one. One of my all time favorites, actually. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
13. You change how you walk on stairs before something important? Really? That's an amazing amount of self-discipline. Athletes have gotten injured hundreds of times in weird or ridiculous ways. That's life.
14. Does anyone use Amazon Fire TV with it? How does that compare to Roku?
15. Any advice? I currently have DirecTV. I am looking to quit. The thing that will be the hardest to give up is the DVR. I know Playstation VUE is supposed to have DVR, but I did the free trial and it didn't seem to work very well. Is there currently a streaming service where you can record live sports? Also, my biggest thing is I start a lot of events late or especially pause events in the middle. Can you do that on any of the streaming services? If I go that direction, which is the best device to use? Roku? Amazon Fire? Anyone with any experience, please let me know what you've found or would suggest.
16. Don't know if you meant Lynch instead of Curry... Curry didn't score but had more big plays than most people. He was a huge part of the win.
17. The Seinfeld book is great.
18. There is a Podcast in iHeartRadio called Rebutting a Murderer. It's interesting to listen to because it gives the complete other side that is missing from the doc. I don't know if I like it or not. It's a media from Wisconsin, and he does a good job showing what was left out, but his tone is just as biased and one-sided as the doc. I feel more convinced that Avery did it now, but I don't think he really proves anything. And he keeps saying it id the defense's job when making these outrageous claims that they need to supply more proof of the accusations. As many have said on here, I thought it was more about creating reasonable doubt. I haven't finished it yet, but one thing I am more sure of, though, is that Avery is definitely a creep whether he did it or not. There is some really interesting stuff about things he said and claimed while in prison that make him sure look a lot more guilty and capable of this.
19. Thought this was an interesting read, http://www.sunnyskyz.com/blog/1244/This-Is-The-Most-Credible-Making-A-Murderer-Theory-I-ve-Seen-So-Far
20. "According to the juror, the finding of not guilty on the count of mutilating a corpse -- a "split verdict" -- was intended to "send a message to the appellate courts," Demos said. "They thought that Steven would get a new trial," Demos added. "That was sort of their plan and it didn't work out that way." Wisconsin's Supreme Court rejected Avery's later bid. Demos said the juror told them that "they were afraid if they held out for a mistrial -- that it would be easy to identify which juror had done that and they were fearful for their own safety." Just saw this in the article linked above. Kind of answers my question #2.
21. Finished the doc on Sunday. Was waiting to read this. There are three things that came up that I don't think have been discussed in this thread. They don't show guilt or innocence, but were just kind of fascinating to me. 1. What about the cop who basically said they could have killed Avery if they really wanted to get rid of him? That was just mind-blowing. Really?!?!? 2. How was Avery found guilty of murder, but not guilty of mutilating a corpse? I'm sure someone can explain that to me a little, but it makes no sense at all on the surface. 3. At the end of the Avery trial, Katz (And I agree with everything Brock said about him right down to the awful voice) said that one person and one person only was responsible for the murder. He repeated it. Shortly thereafter, he's back in the courtroom trying Dassey. What?? I still can't believe the kid is in jail. Outside of the weird confession, there is just no evidence (that we saw) that he did anything. None of it matches up with his "story." I was shocked he was convicted, more so than Avery.
22. Agreed on Harper and Mack. Love them both. When they made the 50 greatest Twins a few years ago, and Shane Mack was not included it was a dark day. Dan Gladden made it and Shane Mack did not. Just unbelievable.
23. Yep, exactly the same. Guy bunted and Bremer said he liked the move. Blyleven was clearly not happy. He ended by saying at least his batting average went up.
24. I would go with that or my favorite moment from the game: the Hrbek-Harper-Hrbek double-play late in the game. The reactions of Hrbek and Morris are forever etched in my mind. Best fist pump ever.
