  1. Look at this way, @USAFChiefis already passed out. He can't do you any more damage at this point!
  2. I was trying to accept kind charity before resorting to blind thievery. I'm sure @USAFChiefwould do the same for me.
  3. I think Moderation meant the rest of us at the bar!
  4. Good thinking! I'll have to make that two!
  5. That depends on how he responds to this...
  6. I guess this either means that your son is picking up the tab for @AlwaysinModerationand me, or passed out on the floor from Scotch @USAFChiefis. I'm fine with either, I just need to know where to direct the bill. And then we can all get chicken gizzard blizzards on @Squirrelon the way home.
  7. Get some soft eggs and lobster in ya and you'll perk right up!
  8. I'll be the guy at the bar drinking Scotch.
  9. First thing I thought of... perhaps sadly...yet somehow proudly...
  10. Well, in still trying to figure out my dinner plans... Bar La Grassa would certainly solve that!
  11. Welcome back, AK! I hope your homecoming is a productive one!
  12. It's Royce Lewis' world.  We're just living in it.

  13. This could be a really fun pitching matchup. Which obviously means that it'll be 14-13.
  14. Reports are that his foot is still bothering him, so he is injured. Is that why he didn't run out the gound ball? I don't know, but he's dealt with plantar fasciitis since May.
  15. The thing that I'd be watching closely in this circumstance is how well the offense is performing. If they're finally starting to click for an extended period of time, I'd hate to stunt that momentum. That said, getting guys like Kepler, Taylor and Correa healthier heading into the postseason needs to be considered.
  16. That luster wore off in a hurry.

I think we just have to accept that the Twins are a .500 team. If they get back a few players from IL they can be a better team. With good pitching anything can happen in a short playoff series.  If Lewis can come back and be a good player it will really help the Twins. The only bad news about the Twins being in the playoffs is that Rocco will be back for another year. I do not think the Twins will ever be a good team with Rocco as manager. He just doesn't appear to be a leader and seems to have no real feel for the game. He doesn't have his players move runners over so Twins hit into too many double plays.  At times he seems to have no clue on how to handle pitchers.

I've never thought this team was anything other than a .500 team.  They're almost exactly what I figured they'd be heading into the season.

  17. Not surprised in the least they lost the series in Detroit.  Wouldn't say I expected it though.  Disappointed nonetheless.  But, that's pretty much how this team in.  They are streaky.  And it's frustrating.

  18. Mainly because of the long term outlook on the position players. Even the depth in the pitching doesn't excite me too much. I think there needs to be more development from the young core. I'm also not suggesting that they're headed towards rebuild territory. I think other teams will pass them by though. Which is a big part in this conversation, in my opinion. It's not just about this team.
  19. I think there's a of truth in this. I also think Cleveland's window is probably opening back up, whereas it's closing here. That's a big difference in my mind, but there are merits to your post that are hard to disagree with.
  20. I'll take series win against the Sox, thank you very much!

And a sweep is even better!

  21. I'd be pretty surprised if they dealt Nootbaar as well. Seems that Carlson would be the odd man out, which I'd be happy with acquiring.
