  1. Oh... I thought Arcia, Santana, and Vargas were each out of options? Well, good to know about Vargas. He's not performing well at all this spring, and will not make the team. Still, he has some talent. Hope he can pull it together.
  2. True. He'd better drop his demands quickly, unless he wants to not be the next Jermaine Dye.
  3. That '87 team was comprised of a bunch of rebels. That was just another reason why they were so dangerous.
  4. I cannot believe Morneau is still unsigned. It's crazy. Parmelee is signed, and Morneau is not. Unbelievable.
  5. MLB.TV auto-renews every year. I've been a subscriber for 8 years now. The only way to get out of the auto-renew would be to change the credit card on file. Still, I wouldn't be able to understand why someone would not want to auto-renew. It's as important as air.
  6. There is no scenario where Nunez does not make this team. Vargas is out of options and is very likely getting cut. Santana likely stays no matter what; Arcia/Quentin seems to be in question, though. Quentin is turning heads now with his professional plate appearances and approach. Still, that's correct - he does not have a very good track record in terms of staying on the field.
  7. Didn't make it out today, but they sure didn't forget to bring the bats! Berrios w/ 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R. Also a good sign. Someone said earlier to the effect of "If Quentin has a great spring, what do the Twins do?" Very interesting. He's putting together some quality ABs and certainly has a presence about him. Not a bad thing to have more talent.
  8. Excuse me, but you did conclude that it was a possibility that the reason he didn't wear sunglasses was because he was not experiencing symptoms. I've seen other posts where I fully agree with you, but yes, on this topic, we have different opinions. Glad we're able to voice them... which is what a forum is for.
  9. Thanks for clearing that up. With this reasoning you've offered, we can now determine which days Joe can be held accountable for his poor production - and without excuse.
  10. Right. He wasn't wearing them. There were about 50 recent articles saying that he was going to start wearing sunglasses. Mauer is really a mystery wrapped in a riddle.
  11. Summary of Joe Mauer at bats - 3/5/16: Orioles / Twins At bat #1: Mauer takes strike one right down the center of the plate. 0-1. Mauer later grounds out weakly to first. No sunglasses. At bat #2: Mauer takes strike one right down the center of the plate. 0-1. Mauer later grounds out to second. No sunglasses. At bat #3: Mauer takes strike one right down the center of the plate. 0-1. Mauer hits a can of corn fly out to left. No sunglasses. http://i.imgur.com/aNNhoA0.jpg
  12. Twins put up 8 in the bottom of the 6th. 12-2.
  13. Twins putting together a few hits here in the 6th. 6-2.
  14. 3/5/16: Mauer is 0-3, has taken a first-pitch strike in each at bat, and is NOT wearing sunglasses.
  15. RBI ground out. I thought he was going to wear sunglasses. What happened to all that talk?
  16. Mauer takes strike one for the third time. 0-1.
  17. Wished that was fair, too. Was hit well.
  18. Gotta say Perkins looks in better shape. That's encouraging.
  19. Mauer works a full count and settles for a fly out to left. Best pitch of the at bat was the first one.
