    I'm not sure I buy that. What about this year, Nate McClouth has 24SB compared to 4CS. Are the 4CS killing the positive value of his 24SB? Revere last year would be a prime example I suppose, as he stole 40 and had 9CS with a .675OPS in ~550PA. Extrapolate his numbers for a full year of ~650PA and I bet he easily has 50SB with roughly 12CS. It's practically impossible to actually account for the steals and caught stealing in the math, I get that, and it really is too bad. Further evidence of this - what about people like Span that get picked off at a high rate? EDIT: Actually, Everth Cabrera's year last year - .648OPS in 449PA. 44SB to 4CS. That might be a better example then Revere.

    I've seen it mentioned a few times already, but it really is too bad that stolen bases cant carry any weight in OPS. You could have a .650 OPS but have 80SB a year and have inferior players look better than you by numbers alone.

    According Strib, Gardy is batting Clete leadoff so the bottom of the order isn't too left handed. Uhhh.

    I would think that Plouffe would be able to really get on a slugging tear against one of these left handers.

    I feel like this team is in for a world of hurt when the bullpen starts breaking down and can't protect the few leads the starters will have. I don't think that is some profound shocking statement to anyone, but our home runs better continue to keep us in more high run affairs. The cut down on errors at the very least has been refreshing.

    Thanks for the words guys. I don't personally blog but I just see a lot of people that do post their own material in the Blog section and if I were them I would feel like others were taking shortcuts to get people to see their stuff. That's really all the more I have to say on the matter... An airing of opinion I guess.

    Maybe it's just a pet peeve of mine, but I feel like it has a bit of a spam-esque feel to it. People that make an account and then begin posting links to their blog elsewhere. "Hi guys! I'm Bob! I'm new to the site! Check out my link to follow my website over at Bob's Blog!" I guess I feel like the site seems more organized when all the blog entries are kept to the Blog section. They can still be commented on all the same.

    Am I the only one that feel these are getting a bit ridiculous? If they get posted into the TD Blog section, that is one thing, but I am getting tired of Lord knows how many people posting their outside material to get hits on the Twins thread. I openly questioned one a few weeks ago and got the answer back that they were approved from the higher ups that run the site, which I guess is fine, but I feel like every other thread I click on is someone promoting their article that is coming from somewhere else. /rant.

    You could have probably used a better dose of fantasy in RF and saved the reality for another position. While we are at it, forget realism, lets just scrap the lower third of that lineup. Tulo is still healthy, right?

    Point taken. I would just hope they are taking pitch count into consideration in instances like that.

    I don't mind Deduno getting the call first - if he can pitch like he did in the WBC, he looked pretty solid. You just have to live with his highwire act of walks. It just sucks if they keep Gibson on a strict innings limit (especially when he racks up 9 IP in his previous start, while throwing less than 100 pitches...)

    I don't know if I can get behind the idea of saving 43M to put toward a team that is building around a group of players that only have something like 50 games of MLB experience, one of the two which has been downright awful, especially when we have a hall of fame player in his prime right now, especially when said scenerio is taking place four years from now.

    Not to get off topic, but wasn't it frowned upon to start an account and then post blog entries from an outside site? No disrespect meant or anything.
