  1. Oops...there's my comment from the other day that I copied before adding as it tends to fail all the time when sending from my phone. Guess I pasted that one over my new vs copying. Oh well...
  2. ABW with FOUR walks!? Good to see his added patience. I also agree on Polanco. Guy deserves an actual shot. Dozier hasn't done much, Escobar to DL, and Plouffe is 1-12 so far in his return. Should be more than enough chances to get him a few starts a week.
  3. Seth....out of curiosity. Any update on Lewis Thorpe? When he'll be back to pitching?
  4. I also like May's attitude and bulldog mentality. Reminds me of when Nathan was on the mound. Can't remember the game or the batter but Nathan threw pitch inside in a big game and the batter backed out of the box and Nathan was yelling at him to get his butt back in the box! I think May is best suited for the pen as he seemed to often struggle pitching deep into games as a starter.
  5. I can't help but wonder if May didn't see the possibility of the closer position having an opening when he seemed to be more accepting of going to the pen. Or that maybe it was hinted to him at some point.
  6. If Park goes on DL I'd go with ABW. I've lost confidence in Vargas being able to regain any of his "old form". Seems he's lost his punch. Plus ABW even if not that great on defense he offers a bit more flexibility.
  7. Smh Seth! Lol! I watched the Globetrotters play the "Vikings" about 25+ yrs ago. Was a good show although I didn't know any of the Vikings they played.
  8. Jeremy....what's the report on Palka? Do scouts believe he can cut down on the Ks and become a productive MLBer? I'd love to see it happen considering what they gave up to get him. Could be a major steal.
  9. I had plenty of frustration with Puntos bat. But there's no denying he was a straight up Beast with the glove as well as his non-stop hustle. Some of the best defensive plays I've ever seen were from Punto and Co. You can definitely tell that Sano doesn't have the most confidence out there. That'll come in time. Plus I'm assuming he has a much better arm than Dunn and Ramirez. Should help a lot.
  10. I just have a hard time thinking he'll be able to stay healthy all year running around in the outfield. But at the same time he's young. 475 AB, .275, .380, .520. 30 dbs and 28 hr.
  11. Nice article Parker. I believe the twins found a good one. Strong character and concentration to be able to stick with the plan and see it come to fruition. Not to often to players strikeouts go down and walks up as they advance through the system. Especially considering they were already some of his strong suits. Hopefully he continues to make adjustments and we see him soon at Target field.
  12. Who would be the leading candidate to play first if Mauer had a DL stint? Park? Or would it be Kepler, Sano, Plouffee? I'll go with .290 .365 .420. 35 doubles 12 HR.
  13. I've been following Jose closely over the past 3 seasons and can say I don't think I've ever seen another more focused, confident, driven, or mature person working towards their dream. Whatever that dream may be. I believe he can handle the added workload based off of how hard he works and I believe that by the Twins promoting him it would set a good example for other prospects within the organization of what hard work and determination can get you. Good luck the rest of the way Mr Berrios
