  1. Good job video umpires. Way to not blow that call.
  2. So... We've got ourselves a runner, huh? Or are we to believe that you renewed in carousel?
  3. Or should we call him Double Varga?
  4. Good job double Kenny. That bat looks tiny in Vargas's hands.
  5. Why isn't he in the rock and roll hall of fame? One word: Abracadabra.
  6. Because we're now past the July 31st non-waiver trade deadline, I guessed that there would be a lot of speculation about trading players in August. I also guess that not everyone knows exactly how August trades work either. Jeff Todd from MLBtraderumors.com has a great summary of how August trades work. I just thought that I'd share it with TD because it does such a good job of explaining how the waiver process works. You can fine the article here.
  7. Awesome. That is all that can be said.
  8. I think that I'd give him a B+ as well. I like the Milone/Fuld trade. The Suzuki extension is fine. It's never going to really be any sort of burden for the team. I thought they missed an opportunity to trade Duensing. There were teams out there that were looking for left handed relievers, but it's not a big enough issue to knock TR too much. He's a guy that could still go in August. Willingham didn't seem to have a lot of suitors, but if some team like the Yankees finds that they still need some outfield power, an August trade is still pretty likely. Overall, good trade deadline for the team. Good, not great.
  9. I have a feeling that Pelfrey isn't making the rotation next year. I could see him landing as a bullpen guy.
  10. True, but there was so much going on today that I could see the talking heads ignoring it until after the big name trades were official. That's all. You're right though. I'm leaning towards no other trades were made by the Twins today.
  11. Wow. I guess I called that. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/07/twins-to-extend-kurt-suzuki.html
  12. No Twins trade would generate enough buzz to get through all the buzz of every other trade that just happened in the past two hours today. I wouldn't be surprised if something happened and hasn't been announced yet. I also wouldn't be surprised if the Twins didn't move anyone else besides Fuld.
  13. I was just thinking that there may be a few more trades that get announced after the deadline passed. Anything involving a Twins player is going to take a backseat to this Price deal.
  14. Kevin Kaduk: Wow, this is crazy. Austin Jackson getting pulled with a 2-2 count with one out in the seventh. That is weird.
  15. Sounds like Austin Jackson to Seattle and Smyly somewhere. Tampa gets Nick Franklin.
  16. Billy on the phone with JR: "I need Duensing right now. Anything you want, just take it."
  17. Makes sense. Tampa doesn't have enough prospects to land Duensing by themselves.
  18. It sounds like there may be a three team trade between the Mariners, Tigers and Rays for Price. Crazy day!
  19. Not only in on Price, but appear to be the front runners.
  20. This whole trade deadline has really destroyed my productivity at work today. I should have taken a vacation day.
  21. I'd have to imagine there have been a few calls about Duensing. I think Bastardo is still out there too, but there aren't a ton of LHR out there.
  22. I suppose 3/18 isn't actually bad. I would probably give him that too. At that salary, he could be a trade candidate at the end of that deal as well, and the pay is low enough that you could justify him being a backup at that point.
  23. When it was first reported, the other team wasn't listed. It now looks like he was acquired by the Nationals.
