Park!! Nice single hammered to left, Nunez scores from 2nd, and Dozier and Park advance on the throw to home. Twins 4-1, 1 out, runners on 2nd and 3rd ... pitching change for the Yankees.
And the Twins have something going ... Nunez singles, Santana to third, and Dozier drops a hit into center, scoring Santana. Score is 3-1, 6th, no outs, runners on 1st and 2nd, Arcia at bat.
And further, if the Dems retake the Senate, I want her to be the majority leader ... but I think they'll give it to someone like Schumer, which would be okay. Anything is better than a Reid-type leader.
Yes, it would have. It doesn't matter who the candidate is, really. Caucuses are not a democratic process and are usually attended by those with more idealistic approaches. In this case, though, Sanders is the candidate and that does describe his base. And as for Warren, so would I have supported her over any of the others.
Okay ... starting this after the start ... in case anyone is able to break away from Easter services, dinner, egg hunts, family, whatever ... I don't 'do' Easter, so I'm watching the game. TWINS Santana CF Nunez 3B Dozier 2B Arcia LF Park 1B Escobar SS Centeno DH Murphy C Mastroianna RF Hughes P YANKEES Ellsbury CF Gardner LF ARod DH Teixeira 1B McCann C Beltran RF Headley 3B Castro 2B Gregorius SS Eovaldi P
It's great in theory, but caucuses are undemocratic. They appeal to an idealistic populace who think these townhall discussion of politics and selecting candidates is a superior method.
I still wonder how different some of those states would be if they weren't caucus states. Hillary wasn't projected to win any of those states yesterday anyway. But California is going to be interesting, but that's not for a while yet.
