    Which is why I'm sitting here in front of my computer listening to game on the TV instead of sitting at the dining room table trying to do work watching the game itself.

    Um, okay ... I'll throw this out there but it may or may not make sense ... I'm bowing first violin parts to Verdi's 'Macbeth.' We are doing this in a concert-opera format this Fall.

    There are so many 'maybes' and 'what ifs' and 'would've, should've, could'ves' in this thread. The thing is we don't know what was said between them. Or how and why the decision to pull him when he did was made. To add my own 'maybe' ... maybe during the bottom of the 8th Gardy, Andy and Albers had a discussion before he went out for the 9th. Maybe he was already 'gassed' and went out to try and push it through and just couldn't? In the end, right or wrong, a shame he couldn't finish it off or not, it was what it was. It was a great debut, we won the game. I think I can be happy with that without it accepting a blue ribbon just to participate.

    Okay ... here's a question ... why is Dick Bremer on the Sox broadcast? Does that mean Hawk is on the MN broadcast with Bert? Wait ... Bert is on the 'local' broadcast, too ... um ... I'm confused. Not that I don't mind not hearing Hawk.

    Okay. Back. Toes are pretty. Gonna set up the TV facing the dining room table and get some work done. Glad it's not over after the 1st inning.

    Not sure I should admit this out loud, but I'm not going to this one either. It's not my fault ... I have homework to get done, plus I am getting a pedicure. Dinner last night was excellent, btw ... yum yum yum! It's not my favourite cuisine choice, but it was still yum, yum, yum
