  1. 12 of the old yuengling’s
  2. As soon as I cracked a beer there was a homer
  3. Gotta admire a team like the white Sox turning it on when they’re in the midst of a pennant race. Oh wait
  4. 1-6 in last 7 home games. Don’t know how to compute
  5. He’s thinking single opposite field, probably
  6. I feel like that’s been said for at least 4 years now. Hoping it’s not true
  7. And the cost of a candy bar in 1985, if you could
  8. More good defense from the Sox. Gotta side with “we didn’t outplay them” in this game
  9. Again, all I’m saying is the 3 bad teams in the division have proven to be awful throughout the year. The twins have done fairly well against them (would be 22-10 after tonight), but it’s always disappointing to lose to any of those three, especially at home. Also considering the team behind us has gone 20-3 against the bad teams since June. There’s a little “take care of business” vibe to games like this, which goes back to chief’s post
  10. No, but play a team 18 teams over the course of 6 months and you usually can look at the record and get an accurate assessment of how the teams played each other. Much harder to judge when you play two series against an opponent, then you surely can catch a team at a bad or good time.
  11. You might have a point if I was talking about non divisional teams who you play 6-7 times a year. Maybe the Indians rue that one loss they had in April to the tigers when they weren’t abysmal. But they’ll probably take the other 12 wins
  12. Not really though. The White Sox are the only one of those teams to have had a winning record in a month. They had one month at 16-15.
  13. Those 3 teams have spent a combined 6 DAYS over .500 for the entire season, and none have been over since April 10.
