  1. Now?! He’s got no other options for a one run game in the 8th inning when he pitched yesterday? That’s a wild assessment edit, he did only throw two pitches yesterday, but the point stands
  2. Yeah, Rocco isn’t the problem
  3. It’s bas enough I’m masochist enough to watch this, it would be downright sad to watch in silence
  4. I can’t take the commentary...let’s compare these guys to the 2019 nationals. Haven’t won a playoff game since the bush administration and we’re making comparisons to world champs
  5. Opponents starters over the last 5 games: civale 7 IP plesac 7.2 IP Crowe 4 IP Cahill 6 IP Brubaker 7 IP twins are turning back the clock on baseball!
  6. A weak liner to right is what might get Garver going, according to Roy. He’d trip if the bar were any lower
  7. Have to dust off this old favorite
  8. Yes, dick, we know cave has been in every game.
  9. JHC we’re a downright atrocious club
  10. The fewer innings the starter goes, the more innings the bullpen has to throw.
  11. Outfield? Let’s be happy with the contact!
  12. How many times have the twins had a contact play on just to simply run into an out????
  13. So right now the twins are going into games with a bad offense, shaky starting pitching, no bullpen, and guys playing out of position or just bad defensively. I’m not well versed in analytics, but I don’t think that’s a recipe for success
  14. We all just assumed maeda would be reliable. But he’s clearly broken
  15. last year doesn't count, it was a total sham. 60 games, exactly half of which were against the tigers, pirates, royals and brewers, who finished a combined 40 some games under .500. and still only won the division because the sox tanked and went 2-8 to finish the year. and an embarrassing two game sweep AT HOME in the playoffs against a team who finished under .500. people keep referencing 2020 as if it helps rocco's case for being the right guy for the job. I think it hurts more than helps, TBH
  16. If only this were last season, we’d already be 1/3 done with the year.
  17. It was so baffling I assumed Arraez was injured. It’s Linsanity I tell ya
  18. I only said that because that should be the goal of a team who’s qualified for the postseason 3 of the last 4 seasons. If we’re as far away from that as we appear, then perhaps there needs to be a total revamping of things. Still have a lot of young guys but cruz and Donaldson aren’t, and some main pieces look like it will be a struggle to pan out (sano namely), but also a really solid player like buxton simply can’t stay on the field. These were to be franchise cornerstones. Not in a good place right now.
  19. Not too early to start discussing trade pieces. Twins blew two great chances in two years to go deep in to the postseason. Wrong guy at the helm and a bullpen that could never be trusted even if we somehow qualified for the postseason. This amalgamation of players will not win a World Series this year.
  20. Yeah well, how long is it going to take to construct a bullpen worthy of pennant chasing? Cruz will be 50 by that point
  21. Yep. Think this roster can win a pennant let alone a playoff game?
  22. Colome is toast. blow this whole thing up.
  23. That first pitch was MEAT
