  1. Man, if the starting pitching ever falls off, even a little, this thing will be ugly
  2. “Probably going to win the division” means squat. It’s the worst division in baseball. Was last year too. The white Sox came into this series on pace to have one of the ten worst winning percentages in the history of the game. Same with the royals. Historically bad starts. And let the concerns about the bullpen start. The mix of jax, lopez and thielbar have not been inspiring much confidence lately. If the bullpen reverts to 2022 form, forget it.
  3. I remember last year all the arguments about how starters should not see the lineup a 3rd time yadda yadda yadda. Starters going 6-7 IP and turning it over to a set up guy(s) and the closer is usually a winning formula. The problem with last year was that the quick hook was predetermined. Yes, the starters are doing better this year, but that didn’t matter most times last season. You weren’t seeing that lineup a third time no matter how well you were doing. Let’s hope the days of 5 IP and jumbling together the finally 12 outs with a motley crew of relievers are long over
  4. The better team does not always win in baseball. You play a team 6-7 times a year and anything can happen. Pitching matchups/injuries may work in your favor or not. You may catch a team in a rut or on a run. Over the last ten years or so, the Yankees have been very beatable. That lineup tonight, yeesh. Not exactly Scott Brosious batting 9th. And no Mariano riveras coming out of the pen. This was long overdue.
  5. Living in Yankee country made the last 22 years much, much harder to take.
  6. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that winning the season series against the Yankees is the single greatest thing to ever happen in my life 😉
  7. I don’t find the game boring at all. Especially now with how much quicker the games themselves are moving. Buxton and correa should be can’t miss. Duran is. Arraez was. Some of the SPs have been exciting early on.
  8. That’s been happening, hasn’t it? Bottom third in attendance most years. Currently 22nd (weather not great).
  9. I watch when I can but it’s not really appointment television anymore. Wasn’t last year and doesn’t appear headed that way now. You’ve yet to convince me that the team ISNT boring. Duran is the only guy (and possibly P Lopez) who are can’t miss. Buxton could be that guy but hasn’t been. Fans want to be entertained. If I’m not entertained I’m bored. I guess that’s on the fans and not the FO though since you seem perturbed that some of us find the team boring and listless
  10. Lol what I find boring is having the 6th most strikeouts in the league and fewest stolen base attempts. There’s NO ACTION. MLB changed the rules for more offense and we got even worse than last year.
  11. Not only did Kepler fail to give 100% on the play, once it fell fair, he ran after it and threw it back into the infield as if he had any play whatsoever. 2 outs and runners on the corners. He should have known the game was over regardless. I don’t think he had any idea what the situation was there, which is wildly concerning in an extra inning scenario
  12. Other than that, how was the play, Mrs Lincoln? 😉 looks like the AL central will be awful again, so even a mediocre team like the twins will probably hang around for the long haul
  13. Two emotional, extremely satisfying wins followed by two games where the twins weren’t remotely a threat. I know we have to be satisfied with every little morsel of success against the Yankees but no I can’t get too excited about the end to that series. Ugly ugly strikeout numbers. No pressure put on the opponent whatsoever.
  14. Problem is that they really haven’t been “dominant” in years. Good, absolutely, but not great. The talent gap between the two teams has not remotely been what the numbers would suggest. The bottom 4-5 guys in their lineup are a heap of mediocre light hitting players. Outside of cole and Cortes, their starting staff is very meh. Ours is certainly better.
  15. I was a new user in 2022 after sprint merged. I actually paid for MLB tv last year and my buddy told me about the t mobile deal. Promptly canceled and signed up for the deal
  16. If you have T mobile, you can get mlb tv for free. Unless it was just a short term offer edit: looks like it was a limited time offer unfortunately ! I’ve had mine for free for two years now. Thank god because it was getting pricey
  17. I’ve yet to have a child so this was probably the proudest moment of my life to this point /s (but not really)
  18. Ten games in and we have to use a split squad type of lineup. Thank god we changed trainers. Ball players may be better today but what good is that if they can’t stay on the field? How deliciously Minnesota sports is it to have a game changing type of player like buxton on the roster, but he gets more scheduled off days than members of Congress. Can’t risk the injury. I can’t think of something more Minnesota sports.
  19. Flags really favoring KC now
  20. The only thing that would make it hard to fix is the speed of the game. Things happen in split seconds. But throwing flags on the same things sometimes and not others is suspect
