  1. Cory’s call of the Royce homer, you would have thought it was a playoff clinching walk off lol
  2. Against the titans,..why is the question lol
  3. It’s odd how they shipped Miranda down immediately after his baserunning blunder but then tolerate a lack of effort/attention the rest of the year from various guys. Guess they were just done with him.
  4. I feel like most players in the league are always playing for their future unless they’re established stars. Always playing for a contract at least. Having these TBA starters (which I hate) shouldn’t make anyone fold under pressure. But if this is how they react then maybe it’s best we find out now in a lost season.
  5. I agree with that, and it definitely stinks to have these low level guys throwing so many innings. That being said, we’re not in the midst of a playoff push. Everyone knows the season is lost. No one expects wins. But jeeze, play the game loosely. You shouldn’t be feeling pressure 12 games below .500.
  6. Pressure not to screw up the game? They’re like ten games out of the last playoff spot with a month-ish to play. They think that’s pressure? Good grief, I’m sorry but a lot of the comments coming from players make it sound like the clubhouse is full of softness. And I suppose when you consider the big collapse last season, I may not be too far off in my assessment. You can say whatever about Correa, I certainly didn’t think he ever came off as a genuine guy and am happy we got out from under his contract. But I wonder if a guy like him who played in more big games than the entire twins franchise over the last almost 35 years, could see we did not have a winning makeup from players to staff, to front office. Took a look at all that and hopped on the first flight to Houston the minute he got the chance. Guys who have won can figure that stuff out real quick.
  7. A’s have been one of the better teams since the ASB. They hit the ball “with authority” as they used to say. Been years since we could say the same thing about our own guys. Please no more bad TBA/TBD starting pitchers. It’s making a bad situation even worse.
  8. They should have to drive their own cars to Chicago after that homestand
  9. Well just have to disagree. It’s not really about outman or any individual player. Every successful organization in sports or business or whatever, has someone or some people enforcing expectations or standards/practices. Clearly the twins don’t have that and haven’t for years. Clearly the players haven’t done that to this point either as referenced by their own comments, and the only one who ostensibly tried to, got shipped out of town and now “everyone can relax”, whatever that means.
  10. I once saw video of Bobby cox pull andruw jones out of a game in the middle of the inning for dogging after a ball, he was far more talented than outman
  11. Yes they are. But again, some players can use these situations to learn and never do it again. Even major leaguers can use an attitude adjustment sometimes
  12. Gladden with a little subtle jab at the staff
  13. If the manger doesn’t care, why would the player?
  14. No repercussions for outman not running #culture
  15. Bradley and Abel not starting instead of TBAs makes me hate the team
  16. Lmao wtf happened? Guess I won’t even bother listening at work
  17. Someone will be here in a minute telling you that catching isn’t really that important and anyone can do it
  18. It’s also kind of crazy to act like learning how to bunt is some time consuming arduous practice that takes away from swinging away. It used to be just the big bopper DH types would stink at bunting. Now it’s everyone down to the worst hitter on the team that can’t figure out how to bunt. And I know this isn’t unique to the twins, it’s how baseball is anymore. But maybe it will take an organization or two focusing on returning to the fundamentals of the game to get everyone else in to it.
