  1. That looks like a line drive in the box score.
  2. This Tigers team is very much capable of blowing an 8-0 lead. Even to this Twins team.
  3. Just tuned in. Did I miss anything?
  4. This is so ridiculous. It's obvious you don't know what you're talking about. Phil Hughes lives in Plymouth, not Edina.
  5. I have a lot of appreciation for how difficult boxing is. You have to be strong, you have to have endurance, you have to have quickness and you have to use strategy. Top flight boxers are incredible athletes. But boxing is the only sport in which the goal is to purposely inflict a severe brain injury on your opponent. The world would be better off if it was illegal. Sweet science my @$$.
  6. I've said something like this before--we can certainly say what we think about a trade just after it happens but we usually don't know whether a trade was a good one until several years later. As deanlambrecht said above, that's because it takes so long for the vast majority of baseball prospects to fully develop.
  7. It was a run-scoring play so I'm sure it will be a video highlight on the Orioles' web site.
  8. Putting Dozier and Plouffe 3 and 4 in the batting order. Genius.
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MbYQ0mpfY0
  10. Well, I have to say I like Marney better than Kevin Gorg.
  11. Boy, that Molitor knows how to set up a batting order to get that first inning run, eh?
  12. I sympathize. One ballpark way overrated and one rated to be just as bad as it is.
  13. Well, who do you think the Mets are?
  14. How I wish that were actually true.
  15. Well, I admit I've always liked this.
  16. I don't know. Easier said than done, I think.
  17. I'm guessing that the vast majority of second hand tickets are originally purchased as part of corporate-purchased season plans. Those tickets will be purchased no matter what the team's record is. They put them on Ticket King or wherever if there's nobody available to use them on a given night. If the team is hot, fewer of those tickets will go unused, so I say take advantage of the buyer's market and don't feel guilty.
  18. There is a very easy work-around. Buy your tickets second hand. No additional money goes to the owner, and from what I understand prices and availability make it a buyer's market these days.
