    Seeing the Braves activate Luke Williams made me think of former Twin Luke Hughes who held the record for most Career Home Runs in the ABL (modern day Australian Baseball League) at the time of his retirement in 2020. He has since been surpassed by Tim Kennelly who spent some time in MiLB but never made it to the majors as Luke Hughes did. If I recall, I think Luke's 1st MLB hit was a home run. He logged 106 MLB games.

    This is it, if you ask me. They are not a team that generates any sort of excitement or anticipation of what might happen next. They rarely, if ever, attempt to manufacture runs. They play poor defense with equally poor all-around baseball fundamentals (TK would be sick watching this team). Every single "move" seems to be strictly by the book (the advanced stat sheet) with no awareness of, or adjustments made from, game-situation observations. There was one spark of optimism which got me excited to watch a Twins game this year and that was the emergence of Luke Keaschall. When he was batting, or running the bases, it was suddenly must-watch TV. And in an instant, whether a fluke or simply bad Twins injury mojo, this one incentive for watching was shut down. Or, hear me out, maybe all they really need is a dome.

    I'll miss him on the broadcasts. He has always been one of my favorites. His analysis was good, but some of his stories were even better. Broadcasts need more storytelling and much less data science BS.

    What a dreadful spring. I hope this is one of those years where we look back and say "See! Spring Training records are entirely meaningless." Last 10 year's World Series participants' Spring Training records. Two teams had losing records including last year's Rangers team.
