    A truly delicious opener for today. I honestly did not know that stuff about kidney-beans. Well, those day games- 1 or 2 AM for me over here, so I missed the last one, fortunately. And glad I did. Nothing like losing a good night's sleep only for a nightmare to occur at the end. And for those of you whose afternoons were bushwhacked by the Boyer/Thompson SuckTwin Express, my sympathies. Seriously, TR and Molly- what the heck are those two doing on the roster? We've sent Arcia, Vargas, Hicks, and others down to "get right." Why not these guys? How many more games to we get to witness one or both of them blow a winnable game? Surely, the AAA options we have cannot be worse than these blokes. Get Achter up here, or at least Lester. Thielbar has not done well lately, but how can he be worse than Thompson right now? Or even O'Rourke, Darnell? Come on-- And who did we sign in response to these meltdowns? Scott Atchison? Jeepers, I'm over 50 and he looks like MY dad. Oops, sorry. I went on too long. Just had to get that off my chest.

    Wow- this young man has pitched a WHALE of a game- Ventura's taking a lot of heat in Chicago for leaving guys in to work out of a mess- and he's got a good BP. For us, unless it's Perk, F- 'em. There's nobody out there who's going to pitch better than a tired Gibson.
