In the bottom line, there was a very interesting stat. Since 2012, the Vikings are 51-1 when heading into the 4th quarter with a lead at home.

I could be hitting the trifecta as a sports viewer tonight. The NLDS goes to game 7. The Rangers are leading… and the Vikings are leading.

It’s included in the NFL script for the Vikings to lose to a team they shouldn’t on paper (Tampa) and beat a team they shouldn’t on paper. Feels like this is the night for the latter.

Agreed - There had to be significant planning ahead so they can maintain their current budget after the Bally’s contract expired. The payroll might be down just through the moves they make this offseason, but I seriously doubt there’s a mandate to hit a payroll number much lower than it was in 2023.- 54 replies

Can’t imagine a bigger swing game for the season than this one. If the Vikes win, they’re 3-4 and back in the playoff mix. If the Vikes lose, we are back talking about a top 7 draft pick.

This is exactly why I’m against extending relievers. Even very good relievers like Duran. There’s a chance he’s one of the few relievers who never get hurt or have a down season, but odds are very low that’s the case. -

I should also say Trevor May one day working for whatever the network is called that the Twins sign with this offseason is pure speculation. The “famous” Twitch streamers make plenty of money as an independent voice. Maybe Trevor has no interest going the same route as Morneau, Perkins, Plouffe, etc.

Why would the Twins care about what Trevor May publicly said about the Athletics? Trevor Plouffe has a daily opinion about other MLB teams on his Jomboy podcasts and has appearances with the Twins too.

Tony Batista was the starting 3B for 50 something games on one of my favorite Twins teams of all time. He was not the reason the 2006 Twins did well.

He will be missed on the baseball field. Definitely one of the good guys in the sport that gets it. With his experience streaming on Twitch, maybe one day we will see him try out commentating at a Twins game.
