  1. Let's see, in two games you know who has 8 official ABs, 5 runs scored, 7 hits, 4 HRs, and 6 RBIs. By my calculation that comes out to be a 2.375 slugging pct. Not too shabby.
  2. Someone remind again who we got in the trade for Ortiz? Oh, wait....
  3. Parmalee batting clean-up? Hey, why not?
  4. Saw that breaking ball 3d strike coming a mile away.
  5. For you trivia fans Twins are 1 for their last 13 w/RISP, and 8 out of their last 46. Very 2013ish. Ugh.
  6. All together now--WHEW
  7. How about in honor of his ancestors?
  8. Is it politically incorrect to yell, "banzai!!" every time Suzuki drives in a run?
  9. Wellll, on my computer (wireless) it has been terrible. I just switched to my iPhone and it's working fine. Go figure.
  10. Anyone else having miserable luck with the mlb.com feed?
  11. The better starting pitching will only mean more 3-1 and 2-0 losses and fewer 8-1 and 10-2 losses. They'll be fortunate to avoid 100 losses.
  12. Agreed -- I am afraid we are in for a painfully large number of 3-2, 2-1, and 1-0 losses. While the pitching appears to be more than adequate right now the line up brings tears to my eyes. Colabello has to be on the bench.
  13. Much -- now I'm in the top third, or bottom third depending on how you look it.
  14. I quit when I saw I was in the age group with no upper limit. Yikes!
  15. Baylor's and Hrbek's HRs in game 6 of the 87 World Series have to be up there.
  16. Not to speak ill of anyone, but the fact that Thomas got 290 ABs says it all about the 2013 edition of the Minnesota Twins. On a different topic, during Saturday's game it was either Bert of Dan who said that there are going to be a lot of players who are going to sorely regret their failure to take advantage of the opportunity that was dropped in their lap this year -- I can think of Hicks, Parmalee, Colabello, Escobar, Walters, Worley, Thomas, Hendricks, Hernandez.... In all my 50 years or so of being a Twins fan this was about as dismal a season as I can remember.
  17. Gaetti -- something about it's hard to play baseball with both your hands around your neck?
  18. You're welcome. Of course, the Twins had Ron Davis, the Indians not so much
  19. Is this finally payback for 1984? Retrosheet Boxscore: Cleveland Indians 11, Minnesota Twins 10
  20. Probably not, but they'd feel better about it.
  21. The first two are predictions; the third one is a fact.
  22. Let's see, 4 runs for the Indians in the 1st. I say the Twins stay true to form and go 1-2-3.
  23. Let's just say there wasn't much work done in the office while that young lady was sauntering around.
  24. This is getting off to yet another good start
