  1. If Mauer were batting leadoff today, he'd have been batting with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the top of the 8th instead of Dozier.
  2. I'm officially OFF the Hicks and Dozier bandwagon.
  3. Not to nitpik, but Parmelee didn't have to run home in foul territory. If he runs on the line that throw probably hits him in the back.
  4. If Florimon stays out of the way Worley catches that. You could see how he short armed it when he felt Florimon coming.
  5. CB Buckner calls the strike zone like it was meant to be called, unlike most umpires that have a strike zone the size of a mailbox.
  6. Can't hardly blame him for not diving. He wouldn't have caught it anyway and probably would have screwed up his back.
  7. Another example of Plouffe not passing the eye test. The strikeouts are easier for me to take than that garbage. That was a brutal atbat. Twins are up 2-1 if Plouffe gets him over. Baseball 101. That will probably be the difference in the game.
  8. I will give Plouffe a little more credit than I've been giving him and agree with this take.
  9. Until we have a little bigger sample size to go by, I'm going with the eye test. He doesn't pass the eye test. I see him continually chasing bad pitches. I see far too many botched plays in the field.
  10. Plouffe is nothing more than a stopgap, and a bad one at that. Id rather have carroll out there.
  11. Overall, im positive on this team and the direction we're headed, but im just not a plouffe fan.
  12. So he hit alot of solo hr's in a cute little 2 month stretch last year. Im happy for him.
  13. He just botched a slow roller on tuesday. Not to mention airmailing another throw to 1st and booting the last play of the game.
  14. He is unquestionably an awful major league baseball player.
  15. Im so happy Baker is gone. Pelphrey comes back early from his surgery, and wimpy widdle Scotty Baker's recovery will end up being well over a year.
  16. They need to do whatever possible to keep him at 3B. One more season of Plouffe is about all I can handle.
  17. When Molitor takes over next season, he'll bat Mauer leadoff.
  18. Really excited about this kid. Long term is he projected to start?
  19. Continue batting the kid 8th. Give him three atbats a game and pinch hit his 4th atbat. The kid is gonna be good. Just take it slow.
  20. I'd love if they could get Pelphrey pitching well and deal him in July. Diamond Worley Correia Gibson Deduno Not half bad.
  21. 1 Diamond 2 Worley 3 Correia 4 Pelphrey 5 Hernandez Is Hernandez injury healed? He's scheduled to pitch Monday.
  22. Ain't that the truth. Plus, even if those reports are true, can you blame him for withholding info from the worst medical staff in MLB?
  23. The Twins botched that one. Gardenhire couldn't have handled it worse. Blyleven and Bremer can stick it in their ear. If they were going to make Slowey a reliever, it had to be as a long man. A minimum of 3 innings every time he pitched. Roenicke pitched three innings in a long role against Baltimore. One of the few times Gardenhire has ever done that. In games where the starter exits early, isn't a long man supposed to come in, eat innings, and save the bullpen? Instead 9 times out of 10 Gardy empties the bullpen for one inning each. Then acts exasperated when the bullpen is overworked. Using Slowey CORRECTLY in a long man role was the only way moving him to the bullpen made sense.
