  1. I dont want gardenhire managing the next group coming up. He's just not the man for the job.
  2. Gardy loves to make it about him. Call the kid to your office and reem his butt. Making a spectacle is weak on gardy's part. That said, I think its time to send hicks down.
  3. Well, how many playoff games have they won together? The Twins (and most Twins fans) say the name of the game is getting to the playoffs. A better measuring stick is how do you do when you get there? I'd say building around these two has been an abject failure.
  4. There's been plenty of obnoxiousness directed at me.
  5. I wouldn't give Worley too many more starts to figure it out. Not with Gibson and Deduno getting close. What's going on with DeVries?
  6. Never should have let Pelphrey go out for the 6th.
  7. He's a 5 inning pitcher! Fire Gardy!
  8. He should have been fired after they were once again swept out of the playoffs in 2010. No manager survives 0-12 in their last 12 playoff games.
  9. 2 runs out of all of that? Twins baseball at its finest.
  10. Diamond never should have been allowed to finish the inning. Fire gardy!
  11. Fire gardenhire! Diamond should never have come out for the 6th!
  12. And a short start from Worley.
  13. I wanna see pelphrey bear down and get fielder out. Cant stand people always clamoring to yank the starter. Until recent years, gardy has always had the quick hook and he's always overused his bullpen. He's finally evolved as a manager and realized he has to get innings from his starters, and all people can do is bitch.
  14. If ya ain't gonna ever try to stretch him out, why even bother having him in the rotation? You can't ask the bullpen to pick up 4 innings every dam time Pelphrey pitches. Most baseball fans can only think short term. Gardy's thinking long term, and you might have to sacrifice a game here and there, but you gotta get innings from your starters or your bullpen's gonna be overworked.
  15. Have people completely lost their minds? I'm all for starting over with a new manager and coaching staff. A fresh start. But to rip Gardy for leaving Pelphrey in too long? He gave up a bunt single and he popped up Cabrera. Pelphrey made a bad pitch to Fielder, but good grief, the goal for a starting pitcher should be ATLEAST 6 innings a start. You don't pull him after five good innings. You don't pull him after he puts two guys on. Pelphrey needs to make a pitch.
  16. Last time I referred to his "postseason futility of historic proportions" I was ridiculed in this forum. Evidentally thats a no no around here.
  17. Smith gets too much of the blame. Ryan had a terrible 2-3 years before handing Smith a huge mess.
  18. Gardy's lost 12 playoff games in a row. He's lost 19 of his last 21 playoff games. He should have been fired after the 2010 season, regardless of his token MOY award.
  19. We gotta do this f'ing thing over because I f*cked it up........
  20. Seems to me he's lost alot of weight in recent years. Its impossible to know for sure how much, because you cant go by their listed weight. But he really looks scrawny. Almost diseased.
  21. The "unwritten rule" polices the game better than anything else. You hit our guy, we hit your guy. Nothing wrong with that, but the head hunting has to stop. Hit them in the butt. I thought it was pretty pathetic last year when Diamond air mailed one over Hamilton's head.
  22. I'll go with Escobar too. Ryan sure took some grief for the Liriano trade, but it's looking better everyday.
  23. Duensing would be my choice, but I think he's a Gardy favorite.
  24. I was more hoping for something like 76-82 games.
  25. Well they won in spite of all their mistakes and their terrible clutch hitting. Props to Worley and the bullpen (and Chicago's punchless lineup).
