  1. What happened in the third? Did the Twins forfeit it?
  2. I turned 2012 off completely. On this date the lineup was: The ones in bold are the bad ones. Denard Span, Center Fielder Jamey Carroll, Shortstop Joe Mauer, Catcher Josh Willingham, Left Fielder Ryan Doumit, DH Chris Parmelee, First Baseman Danny Valencia, Third Baseman Erik Komatsu, Right Fielder Alexi Casilla, Second Baseman Manager, Ron Gardenhire
  3. To me the tide has turned. They have great fielding and great pitching ... and Hawk isn't announcing their home games. Suddenly I can stand them!
  4. Abad searching in the air for the ball on the ground ... that should go on the t-shirt.
  5. Can you say that again? I didn't hear you. Oh, yeah. It happened again.
  6. All the other jokes seemed sincere. What can I say?
  7. If Nunez starts about 12 more games in a row he will qualify for league leader in batting average. That's something. Because there's always something.
  8. Thanks for the thoughtful article. The only thing I disagree with is Murphy. You write that neither he nor Suzuki "... should figure in the long term plans for the Twins, anyway." Murphy clearly has not performed, at all. But he turns 25 in a week, and he has a total of 328 big league plate appearances. His OPS last year was .734. Not bad. Surely, he may still be part of the Twins future.
  9. I had to look it up. Yes, Park is hitting .111 with RISP. With men on: .133. I doubt if this has any relevance though. Time (and more runners on base) will straighten this out.
  10. I hope Wade progresses quickly though the system. He's already 22 1/2 years old. I'm not kidding. Somebody - ala Chuck Knoblauch - has to make the leap into stardom. Why not Wade?
  11. I was reading through these hoping I would come to one that I agree with. I also "don't like his chances of harnessing his stuff." He is filthy wild, and he's 26. If he isn't just plain filthy at this level, he won't succeed. Let's hope against hope that he figures out his mechanics because they look like a total mess. He belongs in AAA doing that. (Clap for Berrios, who has, at least for now, come and done well!)
  12. All right. I'm going to stop watching now.
  13. I think that qualifies as a Save.
  14. You're hanging in there, River. Very impressive. To the bitter, bitter end.
  15. You would have gotten a lot more likes but
  16. The most pointless managerial ejection of the 21st century. (any insight from the Twins' announcers?)
  17. The Astros TV announcers are laughing, like this one is in the bag. The gall.
  18. No, your post is the post of the year. It's settled.
  19. Located near D.C. This funk has followed the Twins all this time? (I'm not posting much, seems everything that is being said is all that can said ... )
  20. Crackerbox Palace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icHU5zB5fLM
  21. This post finishes it for me tonight on Twins Daily. Real classy.
