  1. One of my favorite Twins in the 2010s...
  2. Who can name that Twin?
  3. Royce Lewis is by far my favorite Twins player. Buxton has moved down my list this year.
  4. Burnes is really good vs RHB, but totally dominant vs LHB.
  5. I was surprised to see 7 RHB in the lineup. This clearly seems to be base on the strong reverse-splits for Burnes. Here are Burnes' 2023 splits vs RHB & LHB:
  6. Framber Valdez pitching a no-hitter vs Cleveland. One out in the 9th.
  7. I'd go all in for Bellinger. Adding an athletic, power-hitting centerfielder would make a huge difference this year. They could also really use a quality bullpen addition. Would the Cubs go for Larnach or Wallner plus maybe our 3rd/4th best pitching prospect? Admittedly I'm a Twins optimist, but I think with this pitching staff they can have an impact in the post-season.
  8. I'm glad they didn't overthink this pick - taking the consensus best available player. it will be exciting to watch him develop!
  9. It's great to see Urbina and Salas have strong days at the plate for CR. They both have real potential, but we haven't seen much from them yet this year. Hoping their bats heat up for the rest of the summer!
  10. The current Twins bench players are really solid. It's been fun to see them have success tonight. Jeffers has been terrific as the 2nd catcher. Farmer is what we expected - just a solid all-around ballplayer. Castro is an ideal utility player: switch-hitter, speed, decent defense in the outfield & infield, >100 OPS. Solano has been about average as a hitter. All three have had some clutch hits this season. Taylor is a bit stretched as a starting CF, but solid defensively. Ideally, MAT is a reserve outfielder, pinch-runner, defensive replacement.
  11. I moved to South Dakota in May. I had to download a VPN to be able to stream Twins games on MLB.TV. Hopefully, next year the blackout restrictions will be eliminated for streaming Twins games.
  12. Twins need to get one run out of this inning. And hope for butter luck/better at-bats vs the bullpen.
  13. This game may end about as late as the California night games.
  14. Let's hope Ober can keep on track... this SF lineup isn't too scary. Really happy to see Buck back in the lineup!
  15. Baserunning may be the story of this game. (And Ober finding himself.)
