  1. You, Moses, Job... I mean, who doesn't, really?
  2. No, I think you summed up his general incompetence in that inning quite nicely.
  3. Is this you?!? http://cdn.hellogiggles.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/01/oldlady.jpg
  4. Can someone with more experience help me out here--is it usually a good thing when the opposition bats around in the first inning?
  5. 5.9 bb/9 is extremely concerning.
  6. Sure, if all that matters to you is the outcome, but not the process. Chris Colabello, either actively or through negligence, circumvented the well-established and well-known rules of his profession. Simply because "it's just a game" or "just for entertainment" doesn't make it ok on a personal level, and just as we would condemn that behavior in our politicians, we should condemn it in all people. Now, I don't think the punishment should be the same, because the impact, as you said, is apples and oranges. But morality and right and wrong shouldn't be based on the number of people hurt/affected.
  7. I completely agree that there is a big difference in importance and impact, but it doesn't change the reality of what one is doing. Either it's cheating or it's not. Just because it's only a dollar doesn't make taking a candy bar from Target without paying not stealing.
  8. Except that every team has a training staff that can be called year-round, and asked questions about any kind of supplement. If he truly isn't trying to cheat, why wouldn't he call and say someone just gave me supplement X, is that ok for me to take? He's either lying about not knowing how it got in his system, or reckless to the point of stupidity.
  9. Not looking to start something here, but if I'm understanding your first 4 points correctly, you have no problem with cheating so long as it's done in the pursuit of a dream with sizable financial upside. So for example, you are all good with someone who's dream is to be President stuffing the ballot box in order to ensure election.
  10. I'm reasonably certain, barring breaking leprosy news, that both Miguel Sano and Joe Mauer have two arms.
  11. This is the first game of the year in which the Twins did not trail at some point.
  12. Come on Buck, I want to get a good look at some Byung-Ho. Wait a minute...
  13. Freeman needs to read scouting reports--never go inside on Dozier. I'm glad he didn't and all, I'm just saying.
  14. Yeah, 'cause Jepsen is rock solid.
  15. Ummm, with the pitcher's spot up first in the next inning, why would you pull Nolasco right now? It's not like Braun is up next.
  16. I want to say "leave him on the bench," but it seems like such an easy answer...
  17. Hooray! Ricky will get to lead off an inning for the fourth time!
  18. Yeah, but these guys aren't a problem. There's 3.5 billion women on the earth.
  19. I'm liking me some Polanco at third too!
  20. That was downright nasty. I like this Nolasco!
