  1. The Twins didn't look like they had a chance until after they got Milone out of there. I know anybody can have a bad day, but it's been a while since Milone looked competitive at the mlb level.
  2. At least Neil Ramirez is looking good. Live arm, good size... Maybe he can catch on here, during the 2016 Year of Twins Tryouts.
  3. Why even keep him in AAA? All he does is pad his stats against crappy hitters and block somebody else from working on his game. DFA the dude, let him try his luck elsewhere.
  4. Seriously, I wonder how often Adam Eaton practices deflecting baseballs off his elbow pad. That looked like a well-practiced move.
  5. Is Taylor Rogers warming up? This might be a good time.
  6. Some of these pro ballplayers are so spoiled. Ball's slightly hard to reach under some ducting, and he acts like he can't see it, or it's in the yard with an angry dog. That should have been an inside the park home run, if for no other reason than to tell these guys not to be such wimps.
  7. Seriously, when was the last time Kurt Suzuki threw out a runner stealing second? Assuming the guy didn't fall down, etc.
  8. Mostly what you said, then Berrios up, trade Dozier, play Polanco at 2B second half, Sano 3B, Buxton back down, OF of Grossman, Rosie, Kepler, Santana #4. Nunez back to utility, subbing fairly often at 3B and 2B. Possibly trade Nunez and Bring up Beresford for utility to see what he's got. Changed my mind on Tonkin. Ever since he got zapped on the thigh by a line drive, he's been pitching just a little pissed off, the way a good reliever should. Keep him as long as he stays aggressive. Meanwhile, let the musical chairs begin for any pitcher in AAA that's got a chance to be decent. Let Rogers try starting. Let Wheeler have a go. Etcetera, etcetera. Crank up the lab, Igor; time to cook up a monster.
  9. Tyler Duffey looked like he didn't want to leave. Can't blame him.
  10. I agree with Smalley. Great day for Juan Centeno. Capped it off with a tape-measure shot over the fence.
  11. Is this the most satisfying game of the year so far? I can't remember a better one. Maybe the day Sano hit six home runs?
  12. Masterful. That last strikeout... Keep the video of that for future generations. 1. 83mph change-up, lower edge. 2. 90mph fastball, inside edge. 3. Classic Duffey curve, shows just a hint of strike, then ducks down and left. Swinging strike 3. This is what I have always thought Tyler Duffey could be. No idea if he can be this good very often, but this is why I think he can be an excellent MLB pitcher.
  13. Dick: "This has been Tyler Duffey's game." Boom. Now THAT is a jinx.
  14. I've seen Duffey's curves look more dominant, but this is the best overall command I've ever seen from him. Almost every pitch is right where he wants it. Those three heaters on Gardner were superb. The Yankees look like they have no chance at all.
  15. Duffey, 3 fastballs - outside, inside, top for a K. Beautiful. What a day for this young man.
  16. I know all about you kangaroos; you'll jump on anything!
  17. Shame. Ding-ding. Shame!
  18. Good lord, Twins are feasting on Eovaldi's curve ball. It must be a real nothing pitch. And his heater is looking somehow less impressive now. Only 96mph...!
  19. You can sure see Eovaldi's problem. Great velocity, but his command, especially of his breaking stuff, is average at best. Duffey has nothing like that velocity, but his command is much better.
  20. Nooo, that's only if you're sitting in the dugout. Great camera work, but my seat's not that good!
  21. Really Duffey's only serious mistake was that pitch to Hicks, which he left up. Otherwise he has looked very sharp. Fastballs down, curve showing just a bit, then ducking down. Really beautiful stuff.
  22. Duffey's curve today is really biting. Great job of keeping his fastball down and away from the middle.
  23. Great shot of Duffey sitting between three guys that just hit home runs, while Duffey's got a no-hitter going. Right there, that's about as happy as you'll ever see 'em.
  24. Wow, nice little 3-iron by Kepler. That ball was literally ankle high when he golfed it out.
  25. Eovaldi has just self-destructed. Strange how a guy with his kind of stuff can just fall apart. Don't throw down the middle.
