    Nothing will happen with Gardy away from the team imo. If anything does, we'll release a hitter and bring up another pitcher because everything they've been doing makes zero sense to me.

    I agree with you minus the garbage comment. I don't think a guy should be called garbage for being a fringe MLB player.

    Changing it up is probably a good idea. That said, I tend to think its the talent, not the attitude that has us at 6-18.

    If TR is doing his job, we won't be getting Span quotes in the near future. Get on the phone, start with the Red Sox. Find some reasonable MLB ready pitching.

    I can't say without a price. If we are going to be at the bottom again this year, is a professional hitter going to help the younger guys enough to offset at bats for a younger player? I guess thats the real question.

    Provus has beenfine so far, he hasn't been around long enough for me to get worked up either way. Atleast I can understand the game unlike when Gordon was literally making mistakes every five minutes. Gladden as a color man is great, as others have said the PBP is brutal. I thought it would get better over time but it really hasn't. Paycheck Morris is a arrogant prick. Can't stand him, can't stand his attitude, can't stand his huuuuuuuuuuuge ego. If Provus does PBP and Gladden does color, its fine. Buy Morris a one way ticket to Japan, he can do games over there.

    If I'm TR, I'm trading Span this summer for prospects. Hopefully we can get a starter who is MLB ready. The only way I don't trade Span is if the concussions lower his value to the point that a good starting pitcher prospect is no longer available.

    Listening to TK talk baseball in the booth, has been the highlight of the Twins season imo. I like Bert and Richard, but TK just talks the game so well and I really enjoy how he brings in the defensive approaches and the pitch sequences. TK is the opposite of a ESPN type of announcer and I find it very refreshing.

    I like Zunino and Correa the best. If they choose to take a pitcher, please take Zimmer over Appel. No need to choose another pitch to contact type with the #2 pick.

    Wet the game today against Northwestern. Gophers finished off the sweep with a 6-0 win to improve to 6-3 in the Big Ten.

    The injuries are mainly bad luck, although I would hope they are looking into their offseason programs ect. Misdiagnosing inuries however is not bad luck.

    Baker has always driven me nuts. He has good stuff, I question what's between the ears. How many times has he cruised through 3 or 4 innings, get into a jam in the 5th, piss down his leg and be out of the game before the 6th? Only Twin who drives me insane, although Liriano is getting there.

    TJ Oakes has looked real good since he stepped foot on campus, having your pitching coach as your father must be an interesting dynamic.

    Last I heard, Anderson had about 8 million raised. Thrylos, they are not asking for public money its all fund raising.

    Pettersen never seemed like a top prospect while at the U. Could anyone tell me how he has done, and what is expected of AJ? Will he see regular at bats? Thanks for any responses.

    Willingham has to be better than Delmon, right? Doumit as good or better than Kubel? I thought the defense would be a wash?

    I don't remember exactly what Ryan said, but he was clearly annoyed with Mr. Baker. This is getting really old, guess Hendriks might be around a while.

    I'm by no means an insider, but maybe I'll write a few posts on them for the heck of it. As I said, I haven't even been to a game this year yet. The Gophers do play at the Dome again this year, there is one game later this year at Target Field. For those who do not know, games are $8 I think still, and you can literally sit two or three rows behind home plate if you want. BTW, I love this site already. I especially love all the minor league info. Great job guys!

    Swept the Skunkbears this weekend to open up conference play 3-0. I haven't been able to get to any games this year, and we didn't renew our dugout club membership this year because the kids are playing to many sports. Does anyone else on the board follow the team?

    1. Sandlot 2. Major League 3. Bull Durham 4. 61 5. For the love of the Game While I think the Natural is a good movie, I think its really overrated and #6 at best for me. I think Field of Dreams is garbage. Not sure why anyone would need to visit either. Much rather visit real ballparks. JMO.
