  1. I didn’t get a chance to watch or listen to the game. When I looked at the box score, I was surprised that Slegers was pulled after just 72 pitches. Was he laboring or getting into some trouble in the later innings?
  2. You are right. I was a little light for Archer. We all know Lewis isn’t going anywhere though. I wonder if Gonsalves, Gordon, Kiriloff, Jorge, and Blankenhorn would get them interested?
  3. I hope they push as hard as they can to sign Darvish and trade for one of the others. My preference would be Archer or Cole. With the way the rest of the American League is shaping up the Twins are going to have to be aggressive. I think it’s time for them to go all in. The window is opening and they have room to take on payroll. Would Gonsalves, Gordon, Jorge, and a low level prospect be enough to land either Archer or Cole?
  4. This is true, but it would have been nice if they would have tried. Something like Gordon, Gonsalves, and Wade might have been a good start.
  5. The Twins had an opportunity to go after Quintana too. He would have been a great addition and he is still fairly young. I'm not sure how many years of control he has left though.
  6. Seth, are you that low on Zach Granite? I see you didn't even have him in your top 10 outfield prospects.
  7. I honestly forgot about having to forfeit the second round pick to sign him. Because of that I would lean towards no, but it would be fun to see him in the Twins lineup.
  8. This right here. I haven't looked at his stats at Target Field but I know he has hit well there. Although, that could be due to the ineptness of the Twins pitching staff.
  9. Who knows, he might settle for something around 18M
  10. I see that Bautista is willing to consider a one year deal. He could be a great addition on a one year deal for the Twins. He would push Rosario to the 4th outfielder where he should be. The Twins could then trade Bautista at the deadline and get a nice group of prospects. Maybe a one year 25M contract would get him. 11. This is exactly what's holding up the deal IMO. I think the Twins want a third piece that actually has a chance at becoming something.
  12. It feels like the trade is close with these two off the table. It seems like it's getting really narrowed down.
  13. Dave, thank you for keeping us updated to this point. It's unfortunate some people can't respect you. I have no doubt you have a legitimate source. I can't wait for this deal to go through and I believe it will happen.
  14. I think this is exactly right and I think this is the return the Twins need to receive. Alvarez is a good prospect but he's a long ways away. That's why the Twins want a decent third and fourth player. If I had to guess I would say the Twins are asking for Stewart or Lux as a third player if it De Leon and Alvarez.
