For a guy his age Sergio Leon has had quite a game!
  2. Platoon
Dozier has been particularly bad at second this year. A very disinterested look on defense!

Could be post of the week material!

Normally I am all for skirts, and windy days.

Baseball is the only game you can decide what you will do before the play begins. Plus, would it be possible for Dozier to field a ground ball standing up? My 5 yr old granddaughter falls on ground balls during T ball.

Terry grew hair and a stache?

Is there news on why Park is playing first again? Did I miss an injury to Mauers Glove hand?

Sadly just catching up on TiVo. Who'd a thunk it? Nunez as leadoff, and Robbie in the 3 spot! On June 10. First time ever as a 3 hitter in MLB. Yet another innovative move in TwinsWorld.

I agree with Doc about the FO. Sure, I would like the Pohlads to sell the team to some rich baseball fanatic, Ryan to receive his Gold Watch, and Molitor to a happy retirement. All this week. But as they say, Reality Bites. The best that can be hoped for is that the result of this season is that Ryan sees a little light, not 'the light', but just a little. And if that is to pass, it's not going to be evident until at least Aug 1st. Pennant chases will have to evolve, injuries and non performance will occur, and the ticking clock on seasons will have to get louder for some teams. (Ours is in sand dial mode) What Ryan does between now and midnight July 31 will set the tenor for this franchise for the next 6 years. It's going to take those 50 days to see if any good can come of this? Do I think a move to a real roster reconstruct will occur? No! Do I think Ryan will suddenly change his stripes, and become reactive and imaginative? No! Is there an alternative? No! I hate being wrong, but in this case I would welcome it.

To give you a mindset of my family, we often play this at Thanksgiving. Btw, I wonder what the Twins would look like il Les was running them.

    Brian's editor?

Abaracadabra implies something mystical. This is at the point of mythical! Like the Hindenburg, Titanic, and BlockBuster.

It's kind of sad actually. Obviously I still watch and care. But there is not even any angst anymore. It's repetive and numbing. There is no reason to check the standings, unless morbid curiousity drives you to the NL Cellar Dweller. The players don't seem to care, Molitor looks confused, and Ryan still looks stern. Jim Pohlad has had two interviews, and can't even script righteous indignation! UGH

I don't think it's a meaningless stat at all. Some guys are simply better at staying themselves under pressure. The worst aren't in MLB, the best are the ones you don't want to face with men on base. It's not perfect at all, but over time can be indicative.
  15. Platoon
It has went the way of the Dinasaur and Brian's car!
  16. Platoon
Bert said the location of the curveball and consistency was a problem, and the location of the FB. (Other than that there are no problems)
  17. Platoon
It almost borders on the bizarre.
  18. Platoon
But sadly it was inevitable. Almost every position decision was made on ANTICIPATED offense. So we ended up with no offense, no defense, and no pitching.
  19. Platoon
    Ortiz is thanking Dozier?
  20. Platoon
And this is what happens when you get 5 outs an inning
  21. Platoon
    An incredible defensive team!
  22. Platoon
    Oneys?
  23. Platoon
According to Dick, Park has never seen a knuckle ball. So they don't throw them in Korea? Or don't have a word for knuckle ball?

Suzuki just stopped Grossman in the dugout and asked what happened? Zuke hasn't seen anyone thrown out stealing lately!
