    How do you tell a kid not to do something that comes natural...sliding head first into third is no big deal to me. You start making a kid think or overthink things you are dead wrong. Th minor have been down this year...kepler, harrison, walker have been underwhelming. Polanco and maybe vargas are only guys having decent season as hitters. Some AAAA guys like pino mean nothing to me. Younger pitchers have been good along with may and meyer...but last season at this time we were much more optimistic about farm (at least I was).

    Should be a great day of Grapefruit League baseball with that group! Actually I like moving Suzuki back to the two spot until Mauer gets back. Bilateral back weakness is very unpredictable

    Buxton allegedly scored from 2nd on a wild pitch. He got to second after forcing a bad throw to first... Hicks doesnt do that.

    From BA chat today: Twins twerp (Western ND): Jeff hoffman to have tj surgery. Does he sit out a season untill next draft or fall to the nationals like gioloto this draft? Ben Badler: I would bet he still gets paid this year. If I were him though, given that he’s going to have the surgery anyway, I would do something completely outside the box and consider becoming a resident of a foreign country like Haiti, sit out one year, then try to sign as an international free agent, where he probably could get more money even subject to the pools, which teams would certainly go past for a player of his caliber. I’m not sure MLB would allow it, but this might be the perfect time for someone daring and enterprising enough to try it. More realistically, yeah, he probably slips in the draft but still gets paid.

    Outside of the teams fan market. If you live in florida and want a twins broadcast...pay for it. I understand that, sucks but i get it.

    Thats dumb considering gleeman and the geek is about brunch and what two guys did last week. It isnt about twins baseball at all so it makes no sense to take it off. I wonder if all the good baseball podcasts have been taken off...the baseballamerica pc, effectively wild, the fringe average pc, or keith laws pc which hasnt been updated since feb. I sure hope not because it was so nice to have them in one central location. No way i go to sites anddownload each individually...big mistake.

    I remember a gleeman and the geek episode last year where both guys killed gardy for batting dozier in 2 hole because of bad he was...then 2 hours about how awesome and drunk one of them gets...last time i listened actually. as far as dozier in the 4 spot...i dont like. He is probably a 2 hitter but fuld is no leadoff man. Buxton will take over next may and it will be a pretty good 1, 2, 3 top of the order (with sano to come).

    Why does everyone think Willingham "could" get traded. He had a great season in 2012, but since has been horrific. We probably couldn't trade him plus cash to a team for a bag of balls or a singular bat. Willingham will be on the roster until the season ends. Unless of course he starts hitting some dingers, which I don't see happening considering he hasn't swung a bat in a weeks.

    I see I missed a great constitution debate and would like to talk about California under the previous administration. Medical marijuana raids on "legal" distributors and growers would happen all the time. US Marshals or the federal police could raid these stores even though state law allowed for legal growth and use of pot. I think it works in CO now and WA soon because Obama and Holder do not care. Im guessing Hilary wont either so those people and new states that pass will be ok until at least 2024

    The alcohol bit is completely untrue. Drug tests DO test for alcohol, but it stays in your system for a much shorter period than marijuana, opiads, amphetamines, etc. Something about a half life and science stuff I don't get. But my papi worked many years in HR and had to administer many tests for alcohol and drugs. If it is a blood test, you can test for anything. Hair samples are even better, but you can only go back so far (in terms of months). I believe you can go back years (maybe forever) in your hair follicles. As far as "it should be legal so let them do it" argument...I don't agree. Private business can, and should be able to test for whatever they want. In the eyes of the federal law, marijuana is illegal EVERYWHERE, regardless of what state law is. My senior government kids get pissed about this all the time, but I MAKE them understand that federal law supersedes state law. Just ask John C. Calhoun, Jefferson Davis, and the Confederacy about laws and who tells who what to do. That is my government/law and justice rant for today

    But everybody in the majors was once a catcher, SS, or CF (even arcia for Christ sake). If they both pan out, which we all know probably wont happen, you move one to 2nd and have a plus plus double play team. Not saying you didnt already mean that cmb, just stating a point. With the length of time it takes prospects to develop, injury (tj for pitchers) you just have to go with who you feel will be best.
