  1. Just to show off, 100 MPH for his last pitch of the night??
  2. Routine grounder to second fielded by... the SS!! Why the shift
  3. Anybody else want Larnach or Wallner in RF right about now...
  4. Brooks never stood a chance that PA, started with a curve and ended with a FB, pitching backwards...
  5. Evidently Skubal's is a little better... or the Twins hitters are worse than the Tigers hitters...
  6. You won't have to worry any more after this season
  7. Of course Baez gets a hit (an extra-base hit to boot)...
  8. 8/9 outs via K, 7 by change-up, 5 that were not even close to the strike zone (plus Lee chased a FB above the zone).
  9. If Paddack could just do that every inning...
  10. That certainly did not look like it was going to clear the fence...
  11. Gonna be a long night at the plate for the guys in gray if that inning was an indicator of their approach...
  12. Facing his old organization seems to have righted the ship for Steer: .386/.378/.773 (1.151 OPS) 4 HR, 9 RBI, 8/0 K/BB in his last 11 games (the start of the series against the Twins to present). He seems to have settled in at 1B this season after being used in more of a utility roll in his previous seasons.
  13. Jax since those back to back bad games in April; 27.1 IP, 6 ER (1.98 ERA), 48/5 (K/BB), 22 hits allowed. Yes he might look a little shaky some nights (like tonight), but basically he's been elite since the middle of April. Let's appreciate what we have while we have it.
  14. Only took a real MLB pitcher to shake off the errors and bleeders to end the forever losing streak...
  15. I think people need to go re-look at Cleveland's pitching pipeline, there were trades and FA signings involved in building it. The same can generally be said of most MLB teams.
  16. He talked to the coaching staff (I am assuming Rocco was part of the conversation) AND management. He stated as much in an interview the broadcast aired.
  17. He stated that he talked to the coaching staff and management. His error did not lose the game, Ober's fragile psyche and lack of execution did.
  18. Judd's view of the weekend series with Milwaukee:
  19. Bailey looked okay until the Correa misplay, then he became his own worst enemy...again.
  20. There is difference in batters faced (BF) and at bats (AB) per game. Festa and Mathews both face 20 batters a game, Festa 420 BF/21 GMs, Mathews 260 BF/13 GMs. Joe Ryan 21-22: 22 BF/GM (704/32) Bailey Ober 21-22: 19.5 BF/GM (606/31) SWR 22-25: 20.7 BF/GM (848/41) Paddack 24-25: 22.5 BF/GM (720/32) And for the record, Paddack is 5 months older than Ryan, and has appeared in 1 more game over their careers...
  21. The Twins don't play their AAA players after calling them up, they bury them on the bench and play the guys picked up off the waiver wire...
  22. Could add Martin, Lewis, and to a lesser extent, Larnach (he has stated he changed his approach at the plate, I believe). Team philosophy? Try to make everyone a power hitter? Looks like the 2019 Bomba Squad ruined the organizations outlook on quality PA's, moving the runners over, productive outs, hitting the ball the other way, etc...
