    What I want to see out of Jenkins is consistency, if he can't be consistent in AAA, we shouldn't expect him to be so in MLB. His last 5 weeks of production look like this (from recent to oldest. Numbers courtesy of TD MiLB weekly reports). .368/.478/.474 (.952 OPS) .190/.227/.238 (.465 OPS) .286/.412/.643 (1.055 OPS) .313/.389/.438 (.826 OPS) .350/.381/.650 (1.031 OPS) I don't know what those slash lines combine for over the last 5 weeks, but there is (1) terrible week, (1) slightly above average week, and (3) elite weeks. If he would have put those elite weeks back-to-back-to-back I would be all for promoting him, but he fell off after each elite week, one very much dramatically so. Lombardi and Clark were promoted because they strung 3 or 4 elite weeks in a row, with no drastic production drop-off mixed in.

    The Yankees play baseball in the media capital of the world, have every move loudly criticized by both their fan base and the media (national and local), and didn't address the two biggest issues being loudly discussed by the fans and the media - acquiring a C and getting rid of Volpe/addressing the infield. After the deadline passed they addressed the i field issue and recalled Lombard Jr. How it plays out it is TBD.

    The team is a contender today, manage the team as such. If the team falls off over the next couple of weeks, then bring up the AAA kids. And I agree about being careful about placing guys on the 40-man due to the impending lock-out and possible development delay .

    3 PTBNL plus $7.3 MM for Gausman, no matter what Pohlad said, the Twins weren't taking on that much salary for a 35 YO rental SP. As far as Ward, his production has fallen off immensely, and he is almost 33. He was a late bloomer to begin with, I do not see him finding his power stroke again, and his defense is falling off, though it has never been great. I don't think either player helps the Twins this season, even if they gave up as "little" as you say CHC and SEA did.

    Shored up the BP for the stretch run that they were not supposed a part of anyway, didn't lose any of the top prospects that should fuel the next contending window. Looks alright to me...

    Most of it is over the short bench limiting late-inning moves. This is not little league, everybody doesn't get to play every game, but having speed for late inning pinch running moves would be nice.

    Jenkins is not hitting really well at AAA, he is actually hitting worse than Wallner, Fedko, Sabato, and Roden did at AAA (by a lot) and the team shows no confidence in any of them, though Roden is starting to get semi-regular playing time. I think Jenkins will have a great MLB career, I just don't think he's ready to start it just yet.

    Who else are they going to call up to sit on the bench? Jenkins and Culpepper are not ready, and gain nothing by sitting on the bench until Buxton returns. The candidates for recall are all OFs, Gonzalez, Mendez, and Rodriguez, who recently had a setback. The team shows no confidence in Fedko, Sabato, or Wallner, and there are no other options at AAA. We may be stuck with Jackson and Gray for awhile...

    Unpopular opinion, Gonzalez, Mendez, and Rodriguez - in that order, unless Rodriguez returns to the line-up tomorrow, then he jumps to the head of the line - are the next OFs called up. Jenkins may get called up if the team falls out of contention, but probably not until September. The other 3 are on the 40-man and their option years have started (unless he gets a 4th option year, Rodriguez will be out of options in '27).

    Not that the teams read them, but sites like this give fans a place to vent their frustrations and voice their displeasure with their favorite team. Then the beat writers and national writers start posting about fan frustration and asking the GMs what they are doing to improve the team, often times throwing player names out there in speculation.
